DESCRIPTION: 18th Annual War at the Jersey Shore National Folkstyle Wrestling Championships at the Wildwoods Convention Center in Wildwood, NJ. Traditional 2021 War is open to Boys and Girls from Pre-K to Grade 12, as well as Adults. The War features SPLIT SESSIONS on Saturday (Division breakdowns are To Be Determined, depending on the numbers for each division, including the Girls-only division (90 girls in 2019) and the Adults-only (Post-HS) division (95 adults in 2019). Details for all divisions, including the POST-HS Adults Division & Girls Division, as well as a full description of our unique “2nd-chance Brackets”, are available online at www.AtlanticCoastWrestling.com.
HOTEL INFORMATION: Due to furloughs at the Convention Center, staff was not available to manage online reservations for preferred event hotels this year. That was a NJ state decision.
WEIGH-INS: Friday, May 21st, 2021; 5:00 –8:00 PM for ALL age groups & divisions @ Wildwoods Convention Center. NO WEIGHT ALLOWANCE & NO WEIGHT CHANGES after Monday, May 17th! There will be a fee-based EARLY WEIGH-IN for all divisions / ages on Friday, May 21st from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm; the fee is $20.00. Competitors MUST weigh-in wearing a singlet or underwear and will be allowed a 0.2 overage for the singlet / underwear. Adults ONLY may weigh-in Friday, or from 7:00 AM – 8:00 AM on Saturday.
COMPETITION SCHEDULE: ONE DAY ONLY 1: Saturday, May 22nd, wrestling begins at 8:00 AM. The entire schedule will be affected by the registration numbers and NJ state COVID guidelines that are still being developed. Girls tournament and Adult tournament will also be held on Saturday ONLY, times are TBD.
