Entre les deux, une très longue histoire… 28 1486 : copie en latin du contrat de bail emphytéotique passé devant Dunoyer, notaire, entre le seigneur de Villeneuve et le forgeron Simon Vercellote dit « Brûlefer ». 29 Le sens du texte du 2 mars 1486. Ce texte est une copie d’un acte notarié utilisé en 1864 lors d’un procès intenté au propriétaire d’une source qui alimentait la cascade de Couz, et donc l’Hyères, par le syndicat du canal dans le cadre d’une juridiction très complexe.
