Cocktail Book 2020 Animal Kingdom COCKTAIL BOOK 2020 Il ricavato della vendita dei quadri, presenti nel book, andrà interamente devoluto all'Acquario di Genova a favore del progetto di ricerca cetacei nel santuario Pelagos. The proceeds from the sale of the paintings in the book will be entirely donated to the Genoa Aquarium towards the cetacean research project at the Pelagos Sanctuary. INTRO Dal 1970 ad oggi, l’umanità ha perso circa il 60% delle sue specie animali e vegetali. Il mondo appartiene a tutti noi, e abbiamo il diritto, ed il dovere, di fare in modo che tutti possano viverlo nella sua bellezza e varietà. Quando abbiamo pensato a questo menù, ci siamo affidati alla creatività del nostro staff Tommaso, Edoardo, Claudio, Simone, Karem, Daniele, Antonello e Dimitri chiedendo loro di ispirarsi ad alcuni degli animali a rischio estinzione. Ne è venuta fuori una lista composta da una selezione di cocktail che hanno un legame artistico con le specie individuate, e che ne rappresentano l’essenza, a partire dagli ingredienti, fino ad arrivare al nome e alla presentazione. Tutto questo nasce con l’intento di sensibilizzare sulla gravità del tema - il 27% di tutte le specie mondialmente conosciute è a rischio estinzione - e di sottolineare quanto possiamo fare la differenza con le nostre azioni quotidiane, non si possono salvare le specie se non attraverso l’aiuto di tutti noi e la tutela e la conservazione degli habitat naturali. Since 1970, the world has lost roughly 60% of its animal and plant species. The world belongs to us all and we have a duty to preserve the planet so that everybody can enjoy it in its beauty and diversity. In creating this menu, we relied on our bar staff’s creativity: Tommaso, Edoardo, Claudio, Simone, Karem, Daniele, Antonello and Dimitri. They drew their inspiration from various animals at risk of extinction. The outcome is a list of cocktails with this idea in mind. The names, ingredients and presentation have an artistic connection with the animals chosen by the Atrium Bar staff members. Our intention is to spark awareness about the gravity of the situation and to realize how much can be accomplished through the smallest daily actions. 27% of the world’s animal species is at risk; the only way to make a difference is to strive for the protection and preservation of natural habitats. Please inform us if you have any special dietary requirements or allergies Le chiediamo di informare il nostro personale in caso di allergie o intolleranze alimentari 43 CAROLINA CORREA Nata nel 1983 a Buenos Aires, Argentina, Carolina Correa ha studiato "Fashion Design" presso l'Università di Buenos Aires per poi essere protagonista di varie esibizioni nei principali centri culturali della città. Nel 2016, dopo il trasferimento a Firenze, partecipa a numerose mostre presso Gallerie d’arte e Festival a Firenze e dintorni, mentre studia pittura presso l'Accademia d'Arte di Firenze, dove scopre la spatola su tela con colori ad olio. Questa tecnica diventa così il suo cattere distintivo e viene utilizzata in quasi ogni dipinto.Attualmente dipinge nell'atelier La Serra MK, sia per dare libero sfogo alla sua passione artistica in una continua ricerca personale, sia per soddisfare le richieste d‘opere su commissione. Lì si dedica anche all'insegnamento della tecnica dell’olio e della spatola su tela. CAROLINA CORREA Born in 1983 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Carolina Correa studied Fashion Design at the University of Buenos Aires and organized many exhibitions in the cultural centres of her city. In 2016 she moved to Florence and since then she has participated in various expositions at Art Galleries and Festivals in and around Florence. Here, she started studying painting at the Art Academy of Florence, where she discovered the spatula with oil paints on canvas. Since then, this technique has become her personal style and is used in almost every painting. At the moment, she paints at the La Serra MK atelier to vent her artistic passion in ongoing personal research and to meet the requests for commissioned pieces. At La Serra MK she also teaches the technique of oil and spatula on canvas. 44 .
