Brief biographical information. Cail, Dorothy Emily Dalwallinu Shire. Settled on virgin block 20 miles east of Wubin with her husband Reuben in December 1927. Cail, Grace 1961 Dalwallinu Shire. Came to Jibbering from Victoria with her 4 sons when she was 59 years of age. They farmed virgin soil. Was a member of CWA until her death 1961 aged 91 years. Cailes, Eliza Jane 2 June 1868 3 May 1932 Arrived Upper Blackwood 1890’s helped pioneer Boyup Brook. Cain, Charlothe Sarah (nee 28 October 1944 Wife of Henry Cain, married 7 March 1888. Born at her Gardiner) parents farm “Mountain Springs” in Ferguson district. Married in original church. Rode their horses to their home “Brookview”, Brookhampton (Dardanup). Reared 12 children - 10 sons and 2 daughters. Cairns, Jane Henderson Narembeen. Came to East Hill 1912, pioneer of district. Calder, Margaret Gnowangerup. Wife of John, pioneer of Needilup 1914. Caldow, Matilda Gnowangerup. Wife of John. Opened first Café. Caldwell, Keezie (nee Corney) Came with husband from South Australia. In February 1910 went to a farm as pioneers of Badgebup, east Katanning. Her early days were under pioneer conditions. Carrie, Minnie (nee Wilson) 1882 1965 Perthshire, Scotland. Arrived Perth and married William L. Carrie 1913. Took up virgin land at Pingrup 1911. Had 4 children. One of 5 original settlers at Pingrup and faced many hardships. Returned 1947 to live at Emus Point, Albany. Carroll, Annie Jane Tammin district. Went farming 1910 on virgin lane. Carter, Leah 13 September 1946 With husband Reuben and son Bert, arrived on their farm, Three Springs, 17 March 1906. Mrs Carter 1st woman to go on land in this area. 81 years of aged when she died. Carter, Ruby Blanche Pioneer of Cunderdin district. Carwardine, Annie Jane 1951 Wagin. Arrived Moulyinning 1910 to pioneer farm, after husband’s death worked farm with help of 2 sons. Left there 1930s. Lived in Perth until war years. Returned to Kukerin where she remained until her death in1951, aged 82 years. Member of Kukerin CWA.
