Day 4 –The key to unlocking growth on YouTube: BINGEABILITY

Can you believe it?! Day 4?! This week is flying by, but we still have work to do!

You all are still killing it with your homework submissions! If you are behind, that is totally ok. You have time to catch up, just please don’t *give* up. You got this! All of the daily livestreams are in the Channel Launch Lab Community on Facebook and you can find them on the All Access page as well.

Becoming the go-to person in your niche on YouTube is like being the "hero" that shows up when your ideal audience needs you most. In today's lesson, you will learn how to make that happen…

If there is one thing you need to know about the spider web effect, it’s that all of your videos should be closely related to each other… in fact, they should lead to each other.

If your videos don’t lead the viewer to another one of your videos, and then another, and then another… then you risk YouTube not seeing your channel as a “valuable” player.

And by “valuable,” I really do mean in the money sense. See, the more viewers watch YouTube videos, the more money YouTube makes. So it’s good for YOU if viewers stay on your channel, and it’s also good for YouTube… the algorithm does what’s good for both of you if you let it.

So, to establish yourself as the “hero” in your niche, you need to catch viewers and keep them watching… it’s about creating bingeable content to attract ideal subscribers! So far this week, we’ve created pieces of a plan that lead to that.

But today, we need to make some decisions about exactly what content to move forward with on your channel, and we do this by creating a “save me” series.

Imagine your ideal viewer coming to YouTube to search for something specific… something they need help with, something they want to learn, something they need an answer to.

With proper optimization and decent content, at least one of your videos will show up as a search result or a recommended video. And when the viewer clicks that and watches it, they’ll find out you have multiple videos on this topic… and they’ll want to watch them all.

So, your videos showed up when they needed them, and through your content, they begin to know you, like you, trust you… and want to hear from you again.

And this is great news! But it only works in your favor if you have more videos they’re interested in watching… BINGEABILITY… right?

Remember: YouTube wants people to watch your videos as much as you do, and the algorithm will do what’s good for both of you if you let it… if you have multiple videos available for the viewers they’re sending you. Your homework today is to revisit your day 3 workbook page and take a look at the bucket you circled yesterday (the one you’re most excited about). Now choose out 3-5 of topics from that bucket, and write them in each space on the day 4 page in the workbook.

Give yourself some room here, because also in each space, write down some more ideas around that specific topic.

What are the FIRST steps that someone needs to take on that topic? List them out. What tools or software does someone need? Accessories? Alternatives? This vs. That? Write it all down.

What you’re doing is flushing out these topics even further. This is niching OUT your spider web–”filling it in” is another way to think about it.

As you do this, what’s happening is you’re creating a “save me” series for every one of the topics you pulled of the bucket. So, you’re not just creating one video, you’re creating a string of videos that a viewer will BINGE.

When you’re done, circle the one set of topics that are going to be the EASIEST (or fastest!) to create. And post your completed Day 4 page in the group!

REMEMBER: I will be LIVE in the Channel Launch Lab Facebook group at 12pm EST today to answer questions and provide feedback. Click here to and choose “Get Reminder” for today’s live steam.
