APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP

 The CCF is an MOD Sponsored Youth Activity operating throughout the in 300 (500 by 2020) schools.  may opt to join the Royal Naval or the Army section. (Recruit numbers are limited to 90 Army Section and 30 Navy Section places. In the event of oversubscription places will be allocated by a random draw following the enrolment evening).  Bangor Grammar School works with Glenlola Collegiate to deliver the CCF package.  The CCF aims to develop in our young people the qualities of Self-Discipline, Resourcefulness and Leadership.  Cadets will have the opportunity to attend weekend training, Easter and Summer Camps, MOD Courses and many other activities offering challenges and adventure.  All activities are run by qualified staff following a safe system of training.  The CCF meets on Wednesdays during term time between 7.00 and 9.00 pm in Bangor Grammar School.  An annual fee of £50 is levied.  Uniform will be provided (except boots) the loss of which parents will be held liable.  Please note that all cheques (for camps and activities charges) should always be made payable to “BANGOR GRAMMAR SCHOOL CCF”.  Please complete the enclosed form and return to the CCF on the enrolment evening.

Ability to Swim: Can swim / is a non-swimmer (please circle)

A non-swimmer is defined as any cadet who whilst wearing a buoyancy aid (50/80N BA) cannot as a minimum:

a. Swim at least 25 m and b. Tread water / float for 1 minute and c. Exit water (where an individual is unable to use their feet to touch the bottom), with assistance if required.

I fully support my son/daughter/ward in applying for membership of the CCF and I further understand that I will be held liable for any losses of uniform and equipment issued.

I am the registered Next of Kin/Guardian of the above cadet. I accept that the Ministry of Defence cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to items owned by cadets or their families. I give permission for personal data contained on this form to be held within the Cadet Force Information Systems to allow for the safe and appropriate administration of the CCF and to deliver the cadet experience. I am aware that my son/daughter/ward may have to travel alone to and from some course venues but not during the first year of membership. I agree to pay the annual CCF Fee to Bangor Grammar School, the amount which will be decided by the School Bursar.

The Cadet Force frequently takes photographs / videos of cadets participating in cadet related activities. These images may appear in newsletters, press, publications, promotional videos and Cadet websites in order to promote the Cadet Force. Cadets, whose images appear in promotional material, will not be identified. I consent to the above named applicant's images being used to promote the Cadet Force - consent will remain valid for the full period of cadet membership until the age of 18
