Betty and Verl Stevens have a new grandson, Seth Michael Ohmes, born September 20 in Knoxville, Tennessee. He weighed 8.5 lbs and was 21.5 inches long, and beautiful! Parents are Emily and Martin Ohmes. His big sister is Beth Ohmes, age 21 months. Betty shares, “I was there when he was born, and afterwards to help Emily with the new baby and also to help with the 21-month-old while Mommy was in the hospital and at home. This makes four grandchildren for Verl and me. Two others, also in Knoxville, are Ste- ven (8) and Leah (4) Busby, children of Cary and Jeremy Busby. Both of our daughters and both sons-in-law are graduates of K-State. Cary went back to teaching full time this year, so Emily also looks after Leah during the day, and Leah attends pre-school three mornings a week, making it all the more use- ful for me to be there when the baby was still adjusting to a schedule.”
