Midwest Product Stewardship Council (MPSC) n Our mission:
n a group of government organizations that promote a common understanding and the integration of the principles of producer stewardship into the policy and economic structures of the Midwestern United States n Our approach
n Support consistency in policy and implementation through networking and dialogue, both regionally and nationally
n Support establishment of state-based organizations to ensure buy-in and representation from local governments.
Midwest Product Stewardship Council Work Plan Priorities
n Support consistency in PS language and policies n Support establishment of state-based groups n Host scheduled calls and annual meeting n networking, outside speakers, issues identification n Coordinate “issue specific” networking calls or actions n Hg lamps conference calls, pharmaceuticals n Develop outreach materials n templates, sample resolutions, presentations n Seek funding opportunities n GLRI Proposal to establish state-based pharmaceutical collection programs in GL states
