School Bus Services in Bury September 2017 to July 2018
School Bus Services in Bury September 2017 to July 2018 Services in this leaflet operate on schooldays only, unless otherwise stated. Although provided primarily for school students, members of the public may use these services. Services are listed alphabetically under school names. Bury Schools 2017-2018 1 An introduction to School buses and concessionary fares for students in Greater Manchester Passengers can pay a fare to the driver for each journey shown on this timetable. However, students will need to show an IGO pass to travel at the concessionary (reduced) fare. If students do not have an IGO pass, they will have to pay a higher fare. Most of the journeys shown in this timetable are funded by Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM). The majority of TfGM funded services charge a standard fare, although some journeys do have additional fare bands. Daily return tickets are available on many services. In some cases, the return ticket can also be used for travel on other journeys which serve similar areas – even if it is provided by a different operator. If a daily return ticket is available on TfGM funded services, students can also buy a weekly scholars ticket, which costs £7. These are available from the bus driver on all services where they are applicable. To help the driver, please try to have the correct fare when buying your ticket. A summary of fares and ticketing information on all school services included in this timetable can be found at http://www.tfgm.com/journey_planning/Pages/back-to-school.aspx There are also a small number of TfGM funded services where the operator sets the fares. -

School Bus Services and Travel Advice Bury Schools Academic
School Bus Services and Travel Advice Bury Schools Academic Year 2021/22 Page 1 Summary This booklet shows all home to school bus services as provided to schools within the Borough of Bury. Other booklets are available for schools across the other 9 districts of Greater Manchester and these can be found at tfgm.com/tickets-and-passes/bus-school-bus-services. In addition to the services contained in this booklet, there is a network of general bus services which can also be used to get to and from school. Details of these can be found at tfgm.com/public-transport/bus/. Services shown in this booklet operate only on the school days of the schools that the services operate for and will not operate during school holidays or on days when students are not in attendance. Some buses are shared between schools and in these instances, buses will operate on days that all relevant schools are in attendance unless marked on the timetable. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS/CARERS - If you are using school bus information to choose your child’s school, please be aware that these services are subject to change and may be withdrawn due to low use and/or a suitable public transport alternative. Any alternative may involve a journey of up to 90 minutes, use the general service network and a change of bus on route may be required. The provision of direct school buses in the 2021/22 academic year does not indicate that these buses will be provided in future academic years and parents should consider carefully how their child may get to/from school if no school bus was provided. -

Bury Church of England High School Greetings
Easter Bury Church of England High School Greetings Sponsored by: BUTCHER & BARLOW, Solicitors & Notaries APRIL 2014 HEADTEACHER’S EASTER SEASON As we celebrate this Easter season, I want to thank all our friends who support the work we do in Christ‟s name as a school. Your support for our work is very much appreciated and the Easter story shows how Christ‟s followers, working together with the wider community can bring about positive change in the world. As we approach the examination period, let us seek to help our Year 11 pupils in particular to embrace the future with hope that God will use them to make a real difference for good in His world. Our new look self-service restaurant has now opened. The feedback from pupils, staff and visitors to the school has been very positive. Pupils have commented on the better quality of the food on offer and the staff agreed. Indeed, one colleague commented that the meal she had was every bit as good as anything she might buy in a good pub. The ID cards have made school a safer place as we are now able to identify anyone who is not meant to be here instantly, even if they are in a school uniform that may look a bit like our own. Please ensure that you remind your child to always bring their ID badge to school, to wear it in school, and to put it in their blazer pocket when travelling to and from school. It will take a little time for this to become routine but we will see it established by September. -
