Father. Let anyone with ears listen! “They would rather die of Covid- 19 than hunger” is the really distressing plea delivered by Archbishop Ezekiel Kondo in Khartoum. There is an urgent need for improved hygiene to help stave off the virus in a population weakened by famine. They need SOAP and FOOD. We are using SOAP to describe everything linked to improved hygiene, which is just as important as food in fighting Covid-19, but which is lacking in so many areas. Bishop Nicholas is launching this emergency appeal that will run throughout July to help our Grove Farm House brothers and sisters in the SP7 0DE Sudans. There need is dire.

People are dying and we can help prevent that from happening. Please use the link below to donate whatever you feel able to: https://bit.ly/sudansemergency

News and Notices All events are open to all across the Benefice.

Welcome Home! It is now over 4 months since we were last able to meet together to worship in our churches. And today may feel bittersweet, as we look around and notice who does and does not feel confident enough to join us. Please be kind to yourselves and each other – it is a big step after the isolation and fear of the last months to venture back into a relatively crowded indoor space. However strong our faith in God’s protection, we must remember that He also gave us reason and asks us to exercise it now in making our individual decisions about whether to come to church. For these reasons, online worship will continue to be provided whenever it is possible, so that we can continue to worship together. If you have any questions about the measures being taken to keep you safe, please do speak to the Vicar or a Churchwarden, who will be very happy to help.

Looking Ahead. The Vicar will be taking her annual summer break from 17 August until 6 September. During this period, Benefice services will be held and any questions or concerns should be directed in the first instance to a Churchwarden.
