Fulbright Research Scholar Grants to France: Nouvelle- Aquitaine

This grant is intended for researchers in all disciplines to conduct projects in the

Nouvelle-Aquitaine welcomes candidates in all fields, preferably in the following areas in which the regional research teams are especially strong: analytical chemistry, materials chemistry, green/sustainable ELIGIBLE FIELDS chemistry, subsoil energy, photonics, biomedical research and technology, environmental sciences, information sciences, archaeology, economics and management, materials physics, and aeronautics.

BENEFITS (MAINTENANCE 2400€-2800€ per month, plus a 1200€ travel allowance AND TRAVEL)

The American applicant directly submits an application to the Institute of International Education (IIE) once he or she has obtained the support of HOW TO APPLY a French host institution. With 200,000 people studying in the region -- about half of whom are in -- Nouvelle-Aquitaine is an exciting place to be for research! World renowned for its wine, Bordeaux is also famous for the quality ABOUT NOUVELLE- and number of its public institutions of higher education and research. The region boasts six universities -- in Bordeaux, Poitiers, Limoges, AQUITAINE Pau, and La Rochelle -- representing 125,000 students. Nouvelle- Aquitaine is home to the main public research institutions, and outperforms the national average public scientific output by 5% (and over 7% in chemistry and applied biology-ecology).

French language ability should be commensurate with the requirements FRENCH LANGUAGE of the project. Many host institutions offer language courses. PROFICIENCY Candidates who intend to improve their French language skills are preferred.
