Because this is the time of the year that Florida’s heat has lessened somewhat, playing golf can be a wonderful experience. The courses are crowded here at The Meadows with golf carts and smiling and sunburned players oohing and aahing about that perfect shot—or the one that somehow fell into the sand bunker. With this in mind, we here at Chatsworth Greene need to recognize our own John O’Brien and Gerry Bayreuther for placing first in Flight 3 of the Member- Member Men’s Tournament, held at The Meadows Country Club in January. This past Groundhog Day weekend, Fred and Sigrid Jensen welcomed their sons, Russell from Des Moines, Iowa, and Nels from Temecula, California, as well as Meadows resident and daughter Kristin to their home for a long weekend of reminiscing about—as Fred indicated “some of the children’s hi-jinks.” Speaking of reminiscing, for Chatsworth Greene residents, a week’s time can be gone in the blink of an eye. But recently, in the space of a week, we lost three of our long-time neighbors—Don Bolger on January 15, Suzanne Tasnady on January 16, and Lorraine Aquinto on January 20.
