Ein integraler Tarifverbund ist ein Zusammenschluss mehrerer Transportunternehmungen eines begrenzten Gebietes, in welchem ein einheitliches und vollumfassendes Tarifsystem angewandt wird. Die betroffenen Transportunternehmungen und Strecken des Tarifverbundes und der Tarifgemeinschaft TransReno sind in Ziffer 1 (Geltungsbereich) aufgeführt. Vollpreis / Reduziert ½ Teilweise werden die Kundengruppen "Erwachsene" statt "Vollpreis" sowie "ermässigt" statt "Reduziert ½" verwendet.   • Landschaftliche Wandlungen Im Nördlichen Churer Rheintal Werner Nigg
    LANDSCHAFTLICHE WANDLUNGEN IM NÖRDLICHEN CHURER RHEINTAL WERNER NIGG Das Rheintal zwischen Reichenau und Sargans bildet in natur- und kulturgeographischer Hinsicht weitgehend eine Einheit. Es ist im folgenden versucht, den neueren Wandlungen im Talabschnitt nördlich von Chur nachzugehen. Natürliche Grundlagen Die rund 20 km lange Talschaft verläuft in süd-nördlicher Richtung und bildet eine breite, tiefe Bresche in der nordbündnerischen Bergwelt. Die Talsohle mit den weit ausladenden Schuttfächern ist im Mittel 3 km breit. Das Rheinbett liegt bei Chur 560, bei Fläsch 500 m ü. M. Die beiden Talhänge sind verschiedenartig. Die Ostflanke besteht zwischen den Einmündungen des Schanfigg und des Prätigau aus der Hochwang-Kette, die Höhen bis 1900 m erreicht und aus weichem penninischen Bündner Schiefer aufgebaut ist. Nördlich der Einmündung des Prätigau, der sogenannten Klus, folgt die Vilan-Falk- nis-Gruppe mit Gipfelhöhen bis 2562 m. Sie wird zur Hauptsache aus weichem Flysch- Schiefer aufgebaut; die schroffe Gipfelpartie des Falknis jedoch aus ostalpinen Kalken. Die westliche Talflanke wird von der Kette Calanda (2706 m) - Pizalun (1478 m) gebildet. Hier sieht man deutlich die dicken helvetischen Kalkschichten ostwärts unter die Talsohle einfallen. Ebenfalls zu den helvetischen Decken gehört der relativ niedrige Fläscherberg, der, isoliert im Tal stehend, die nördliche Begrenzung des Bündner Rheintales markiert. Die petrographischen Verhältnisse sind wesentlich mitverantwortlich an der Ver¬ schiedenartigkeit der beiden Talhänge. Die aus weichen Gesteinen bestehenden östli¬ chen Bergzüge sind durch die Arbeit zahlreicher Rufen (Wildbäche) stark zerfurcht worden und fallen zum Teil steil, fast senkrecht ab. Eine Reihe mächtiger Schuttfächer schiebt sich westwärts ins Tal vor und drängt den Rhein auf die Gegenseite.

Here, we focus on archaeological samples of European whitefish (Coregonus spp.) from Switzerland covering different time periods. Coregonus bones and scales are commonly found in archaeological assemblages, but these elements lack species specific features and thus inhibit morphological species identification. Even today, fish taxonomy is confusing and numerous species and ecotypes are recognized, and even more probably existed in the past. By targeting short fragments of the mitochondrial d-loop in 48 morphologically identified Coregonus scales and vertebrae from 10 archaeological sites in Switzerland, endogenous d-loop sequences were found in 24 samples from one Neolithic, two Roman, and four Medieval sites. Two major mtDNA clades, C and N, known from contemporary European whitefish populations were detected, suggesting co-occurrence for at least 5000 years. In the future, NGS technologies may be used to explore Coregonus or other fish species and ecotype diversity in the past to elucidate the human impact on lacustrine/limnic environments.

Peter Zumthor and Thomas Durisch, a longtime co-worker at Atelier Zumthor and curator for this part of the exhibition, are responsible for the selection and presentation of the works on the ground floor and third level. It was Peter Zumthor’s express wish that the filmic form of cooperation between the artists become the core concept of the exhibition. Six and Petritsch were proposed because their approach is closely related to fundamental issues of architecture. The works they are known for consist of simple actions and interventions which they document on film or video and stage as installations. Overall layout of the exhibition They realized a film installation for the exhibition “Tu Felix Austria” at the KUB in 2005.     Volume 11, Number 3, © JSSE 2012 ISSN 1618-5293 Corinne Wyss, Alexander Loetscher Class Councils in Switzerland: Citizenship Education in Classroom Communities? Democracy depends on the participation of citizens. Citizenship education is taking place in classroom communities to prepare pupils for their role as citizens. Class councils are participatory forms of citizenship education guaranteeing the children’s right to form and express their views freely as written down in the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Theoretical deficiencies and empirical objections have been formulated against participation in the school setting. Despite widespread practices, empirical data about class councils in Switzerland barely exists. In our research project we video-recorded fourteen class councils in secondary schools, we interviewed the teacher and four pupils of each class, and all the pupils filled in a standardized questionnaire. Class councils are very popular forms of education with pupils although the actual power to influence decisions by deliberation is doubted to some extent. Quantitative analysis of the video- recordings shows the wide range of forms of class councils that exist in respect to the talking time of the pupils. To express one’s own viewpoint and to understand the standpoint of other discussants, construct arguments and counterarguments, participate, and lead discussions are difficult tasks. Based on the empirical research the project describes three forms of class councils that differ in the degree of favouring the development of communicative competences as a part of citizenship education. The show, which will occupy the Hall B of the Civic center from December 6 until December 29, showcases 15 new architectural case studies – a perfect demonstration of how architecture, urban development and landscape protection are being reconciled in modern Switzerland. Arch/Scapes was the Swiss contribution to the 7th International Architecture Biennial Sao Paulo 2007 "Architecture - The Public and the Private" commissioned by the Swiss Federal Office of Culture, curated by Francesca Ferguson and realized by S AM (Swiss Architecture Museum) in Basel. The exhibition’s collection of photographs, panels and video screens, which have been arranged as a complex, winding path, is an original piece of architecture in its own right, with the 300-square-meter exhibition taking visitors on a journey through the Swiss cultural landscape – from urban areas to the central lowlands, and from the peripheries to the alpine regions. Arch/Scapes showcase 15 new pieces of Swiss architecture. They give testimony to the skill with which innovative forms have been devised and new positions negotiated within a given social, legal, and cultural context. Switzerland’s landscapes – in particular the rural and alpine types – are considered precious assets by the public. Because of this, new architecture must be the result of complex democratic processes, and concerted moves to preserve traditional building types mean that with few exceptions, architecture that attempts a radical relationship with a given context will meet public opposition.
