CHOIR CONDUCTOR The success of the GPS Music Showcase relies on the dedication of many people. We gratefully acknowledge the efforts and contributions of the following music staff, tutors, Brett Holland completed his Bachelor of Music at the Queensland Conservatorium in administrative staff and other key personnel who have helped make the day so special: 1995, Graduate Diploma Education at QUT in 1996 and Master of Philosophy (Music) in 2003. He is a well-known Bass in South East Queensland who has sung professionally as far north as Thursday Island and as Far South as . Brett has sung with GPS Music Sub-Committee Members Queensland, and as the Bass Soloist in many works for many Mr. N. Wharton/ Mrs. A Rooney GT - Chair ensembles up and down the East Coast. Some of Brett’s 2013 engagements are the Role of Caiaphas for Opera Queensland, the solo Bass part for Haydn’s Seven Last Ms. Y. Carmody NC Rob Cooke As the Director of Music of The Southport School, Rob is working with a dynamic team of music educators to create a vibrant ‘musical community’ that continues to engage its Student Crew NC students in a lifelong passion for music making. He teaches Year 12 Music and Music extension and is also the Gold Coast District Review Panel Chair for Music Extension. Stage Management Rob has a strong background with wind ensembles.
