All Palmgren products employ high-qualitysteel screws designed specificallyfor the size and use of the vise. FineV-thread lead screws are used on all smaller vises to enable precise movement while still maintaining overall strength. Acme style threads are used in our larger vises. Acme threads provide tremendous ~ strength and rapid movement to cover wider jaw openings.

'-, ~"-~";,;},!. 'k Jaw Plates From Palmgren's point of view,your work is much more important than the jaw plate. That is why our jaw plates are made of cold-rolled steel and are replaceable on all but a few of our models. Our smooth jaws are machined to allow maximum flexibilityin holding material of different configurations. Grooved jaws employ a vertical and horizontal "t" pattern to allow holding cylindrical pieces either perpendicular or parallel to the vise. Knurled jaws use a fine cross hatch pattern for firmlygripping a piece in any position. And on our larger vises, we chamfer the fixed jaw plate to ~ ." relieve stress on the vise body. We also offer hardened steel jaw plates for many of our vises as an option.

Castings A vise is really only as good as the casting it comes from. Palmgren selects its foundries for their ability to provide consistent, fine-grade grey iron product to us. We take special care to make sure each casting is even, without hard spots or pits, that could shorten the life of the vise. Models 120 and 320 Handy,general-purpose vises every shop needs. Recommended for use on drill presses, millingmachines, grinders and other machine tools where secure mounting is essential. V-thread lead screw allows fine jaw adjustment.

Model 7 Utility Vise A sturdy, compact vise with low overall height and three mounting lugsfor versatile positioning. Long jaw opening relative to 3!t2"jaw width accommodates unusual pieces. Extra wide Acme-thread lead screw for rapid jaw movement.

Models DPL30 - DPL80 Low-Profile Vises Low overall height and four mounting slots provides tool clearance and firm mounting on almost any machine table.

With both Models 45V and 55. you get a 3600 swivel base. 0 and 900 vertically.plus something more. This combination of movements makes it possible to set up at practically any angle. and then quickly change to another combination. When lowered into the horizontal position. both compound vises can also be used as a traditional drill press vise.

Model 45V Heayy Duty Compound Angle Vise This vise provides for 3600 rotation of the swivel base, another 3600 rotation of the vise. plus any angle from 0 to 900 vertically. Locking bolts secure all set ups. The heavy. 4" vise and corresponding base makes this a real workhorse.

Model 55 Compound Angle Vise The Palmgren model 55 provides 3600 rotation of the swivel base, any angle from o to 900 vertically,and another 0 to 900 perpendicular angle. Locking bolts secure all set ups.

Model 250V and 400V Lathe Milling Attachments With the Palmgren Lathe MillingAttachment, you can adapt your lathe to mill,slot, grind, groove, dovetail, square, angle cut, recess and more. Simply mount the attachment to the tool post and the cutting tool ~ 3600 IJ'i in the lathe's chuck. It has graduation for rotary angle adjustments and a graduated feed screw. Angle Vises These sturdy vises are indispensable for work that requires frequent angle set-ups, including drilling,tapping,reaming,millingand grinding.You can do away with awkward clamps and wedges and obtain quick, accurate set-up at any vertical angle between 0 and 90°. Models X I - 24B The time-tested Palmgren angle vise, with an optional twist. Models OOOB,and 24B come with a robust 360° swivel base which may be locked at any point via two bolts. Securely fasten at any angle from 0 to 90° with four bolts and two side plates.

Models AVC25 and AVC35 The Palmgren cradle-style angle vise allows rapid set-up at 0°, 30°,45° and 90° with positive pin-stops drilled into the cradle base. A hand-tightened mechanism allows locking at all other positions.
