That gave me the right to introduce the syntagm Bosnia Porphyriana. SURVEY 109 1. Introduction Man taman ṭaqa tazandaqa. • On the Aspect of the Two Present Tense Paradigms of the Verb Biti 'To Be' in Croatian Znanstveni Radovi
Znanstveni radovi UDK 811.163.42’367.625 811.163.42’366.58 Izvorni znanstveni članak Prihvaćeno za tisak: 16. listopada 2020. https://doi.org/10.22210/suvlin.2020.090.01 Mislav Benić1, Violeta Moretti2 1Institut za hrvatski jezik i jezikoslovlje, Zagreb, 2Sveučilište Jurja Dobrile, Pula [email protected], [email protected] On the aspect of the two present tense paradigms of the verb biti ‘to be’ in Croatian Th e article focuses on the issue of the aspect of the two present paradigms of the verb biti ‘to be’ in the Croatian language. Standard Croatian lexicography and grammars, such as Daničić (1880–1882: lemma bȉti), Silić and Pranjković (2005: 88), explain the diff erence between the two present forms of this verb as one of verbal aspect (the present form jesam is considered imperfective, and budem perfective), while some grammars do not treat their aspect at all. Th e exceptions are Glasovi i oblici hrvatskoga književnog jezika (Babić et al. 1991: 688, 719), and the Serbo–Croatian grammar writ- ten in English by Brown and Alt (2004: 54), where budem is, accurately, described as a bi–aspectual form. Linguistic scholarship, however, addressed the aspect of budem several times (cf. Ivić 1955). Basing their conclusions on their exploration of the Croatian digital corpora – which had shown that budem can be used both in the contexts characteristic of perfective verbs and in some of those characteristic of imperfective verbs – the authors propose that the present form budem should be considered bi–aspectual. In accordance with this, they consider the traditional terms imperfective present and perfective present as inappropriate for these forms of biti and rather propose terms based on formal characteristics, whose accuracy cannot be questioned – the athematic present (jesam) and the thematic present (budem).

Influence of Tourism on the Regional Development of Bosnia and Herzegovina rahman nurkovic´ University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina bosnia and herzegovina is a very interesting tourist desti- nation owing to its geographic location, exceptional natural beauties, cultural-historical inheritance and suitable climatic conditions. By 1992, significant tourist facilities, infrastructure and transport net- work were constructed and the organizing abilities were proved in the 1984 Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo, as well as in many other manifestations. In the period from 1992 to 1995, many tourist facil- ities were destroyed and ruined. Today, however, most of them have been reconstructed and new facilities have also been constructed. In the paper, the influence of tourism on the regional development of Bosnia and Herzegovina is shown through parameters of the tourist resources distributed in tourist regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the light of actual trends of world tourism and tourist potentials of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an effort has been made in considering its influence on the overall economic development. introduction Most countries in the world develop tourism, and its basic character- istic and a goal is a large number of participants in tourist travelling, i. e. massiveness. According to its economic, sociological, psycological, political and other connotations and many expert opinions, tourism as a phenomenon has no match in any other occurrence or phenomenon in the modern world. Similarly, many experts think that the tourist industry will, in a couple of decades, be behind the oil and car manu- facturing industry. Actual economic flows see in tourism one of the most important activities.

In this paper, however, I do not intend to say what has already been said. My goal is to examine Ajvatovica as an official religious and cul- tural manifestation, by encompassing social and political movements in Bosnia and Her- zegovina. The period examined in this study is the period of great changes, the destabili- sation of the Yugoslav state, the emergence of the pluralistic political government, the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the post-war period, and the period of gradual stabilisa- tion. All these events have had a significant importance for this manifestation, which, over time, has endured explicit modifications. Today, therefore, Ajvatovica has devel- oped into an organised manifestation with a clear ideological message. Despite the previ- ous knowledge on this event, I have tried to keep my mind clear from media depiction of Ajvatovica. Rather, I plunged into the material offered by the archives and libraries, which I had hoped, could provide some interesting new insights.

  • Čakavština Kozerija Franina I Jurina Iz Naše Sloge1
Lina Pliško ČAKAVŠTINA KOZERIJA FRANINA I JURINA IZ NAŠE SLOGE1 1. Uz svijest o svojim vrijednostima i potrebi očuvanja vla- stita identiteta, sustavno su poticali integraciju Istre i kvarnerskih otoka u hrvatsko etnokulturalno područje” (Šetić 2007, 79).
