  • BWTB Nov. 13Th Dukes 2016
1 Playlist Nov. 13th 2016 LIVE! From DUKES in Malibu 9AM / OPEN Three hours non stop uninterrupted Music from JPG&R…as we broadcast LIVE from DUKES in Malibu…. John Lennon – Steel and Glass - Walls And Bridges ‘74 Much like “How Do You Sleep” three years earlier, this is another blistering Lennon track that sets its sights on Allen Klein (who had contributed lyrics to “How Do You Sleep” those few years before). The Beatles - Revolution 1 - The Beatles 2 The first song recorded during the sessions for the “White Album.” At the time of its recording, this slower version was the only version of John Lennon’s “Revolution,” and it carried that titled without a “1” or a “9” in the title. Recording began on May 30, 1968, and 18 takes were recorded. On the final take, the first with a lead vocal, the song continued past the 4 1/2 minute mark and went onto an extended jam. It would end at 10:17 with John shouting to the others and to the control room “OK, I’ve had enough!” The final six minutes were pure chaos with discordant instrumental jamming, plenty of feedback, percussive clicks (which are heard in the song’s introduction as well), and John repeatedly screaming “alright” and moaning along with his girlfriend, Yoko Ono. Ono also spoke random streams of consciousness on the track such as “if you become naked.” This bizarre six-minute section was clipped off the version of what would become “Revolution 1” to form the basis of “Revolution 9.” Yoko’s “naked” line appears in the released version of “Revolution 9” at 7:53.

DRAKE THE WILLIAM CHILD-DIRECTED CLAYMATION VISUAL PREMIERED VIA ADULT SWIM WATCH HERE January 21, 2020 (Toronto, Ont.) – PARTYNEXTDOOR has released a new video for his smash “Loyal” feat. Drake. The claymation visual, directed and animated by William Child and premiered by Adult Swim, portrays a storyline in which PND plays the main character on a wild mission to save the city of Toronto. The video follows recently-released tracks "The News" and "Loyal," which marked PND’s first solo releases since 2017's Seven Days EP. "The News" has earned 17 million global streams since its arrival as "Loyal" stacked up over 65 million global streams cumulatively, landing at #1 on Apple Music's Top U.S. and Global charts, as well as gracing the covers of their "Today’s Hits" and "R&B Now" flagship playlists. "Loyal" was also featured in Spotify's "New Music Friday" and "Are & Be" playlists and in The New York Times, Billboard, Pitchfork, Vulture, The FADER and more. Rolling Stone included PARTYNEXTDOOR in their "Most Anticipated Albums of 2020" and said, “[Loyal] feels like a re-centering for an artist with an outsized artistic footprint this decade.” To support the songs, PND launched three pop-up newsstands in Los Angeles, New York and Toronto. This year it starts on Sunday, November 29th and ends on Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24th. The word, “Advent” means “coming.” This season is a time of prayer and preparation, which not only honors the birth of the Christ Child, but also helps us to prepare our hearts to receive our King, Jesus Christ, for the second coming. (1 Thess. 4: 16-17) “For the Lord, Himself, will come down from Heaven, with a loud command… The season is represented by a display of the Advent wreath which symbolizes eternity, no be- ginning and no end, five candles; three purple, one pink, and one white in the center which rep- resent the themes of the Advent Season. HOPE – On the first Sunday of Advent we light a purple candle to represent HOPE: Hope comes first. Hope for the Peace and the Joy and the Love we cannot find on our own and never in real or lasting measure apart from Christ.
