In a press release shared by the group, as well as their record label Quality Control Music, Migos announced that they will make their long-awaited return next month. “June 11th. We’re Back,” wrote the group on social media. The press release confirms that the announced date has been penciled in for the full- length album’s release. This news follows the release of the group’s first single of the year, which came out last week. Titled “Straightenin,” the song was generally appreciated by fans of the respected trio. Alongside the single’s release, rapper Quavo confirmed that the album was going into mixing. It seems that that stage has been completed as a date has officially been set for its drop. The set will be led by the recent single ‘Straightenin‘ which has got a good response from the audience. Peep the announcement. Last May, it was revealed that their next album is not going to be a part of the “CULTURE” series but it seems like plans switched since then. Migos released their second studio album, “Culture,” on Jan. 27 and saw it ascend to the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart for the week ending Feb. 2. The album’s lead single, “Bad and Boujee,” rose to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on Jan. 9 and was certified platinum on Jan. 23. “We’re beyond excited to bring Migos in for a pair of performances on March 16,” said Hawks CEO Steve Koonin. “They’re the hottest hip-hop artists in the world right now, and are very much ‘True to Atlanta.’ We’re proud to work together to provide an unforgettable night for our fans.” Migos will be the fourth act to perform at a Hawks game this season, joining Atlanta-based superstars 2Chainz, Gucci Mane and Lil Yachty. Since the beginning of the 2014-15 season, the club has enlisted T.I., Ludacris, Jeezy, Cee-Lo and more to add to the Philips Arena in-game experience.
