Sorors braved the weather to observe President Obama’s National Day of Service on Friday, September 11, 2009. They visited Grove Park Elementary and Margaret Brent Elementary/Middle Schools where they performed various tasks— from assisting the principal to assuring the efficiency of school operations. The Brent School has approximately 280 stu- dents. The principal is Dr. Jacqueline Waters-Scoffed. She is the daughter of the late Soror Marjorie Woolridge-Waters and the niece of Soror Janet Woolridge. Our Epsilon Omega Soror Linette Horsey-Fitten teaches math at the Brent School.
