Close-up Look into the Success Stories of World Class 5-Star Hotels The tourism and hospitality industries are the backbone of the economy of Macau. The growth in these sectors in the past ten years has been exponential. Macau has attracted many world-class luxurious hotels. This 7-day program will provide students with an inside look at the operations and get up close to hotel managers to share their success stories. The campus is conveniently located across the street from the Cotai Strip where many of the new hotel establishments are. The Program includes: • Visits to 5-star hotels • Success stories presented by hotel managers • Sightseeing in Macau • Certificate will be awarded to students who have successfully completed the program • Accommodation in the guest houses on campus Program Dates: 7 days between mid-July and mid-August Group size: Negotiable *Package price for a group of 18 students: HKD 4,000 per person Schedule Day 1 Arrival; Orientation; Welcome lunch or dinner; Check-in Day 2 Hotel Visit & Seminar by Guest Service Manager; Sight visit to Macau World Heritage sites Day 3 Hotel Visit & Seminar by Housekeeping Manager; Hotel visit Day 4 Hotel Visit & Seminar by VIP Service Manager; Visit to casino and gaming training center Day 5 Hotel Visit & Seminar by Sales Manager; Shopping for local snacks and souvenirs; Visit the Taipa House (Portuguese Museum inside a Portuguese residence), Andrew Stow’s Portuguese pastry shop Day 6 Visit the Grand Prix Museum and Wine Museum; Sharing experiences in this trip Day 7 Presentation of Certificates * Package price will vary if the group size is not 18 students. ** Itinerary may be adjusted due to weather or other circumstances. Activities will be substituted with comparable ones. *** Price does not include meals. Students can purchase breakfast from the cafeteria in the morning. Macau is located near the south-eastern coast of China, right at the crossroad between the east and the west. Before the arrival of foreigners, Macau was a quiet fishing village. After being a Portuguese colony for over 400 years, Macau was returned to China in December 1999. The architecture, culture and lifestyle are influenced by both cultures in many ways. The Historic Centre of Macau was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2005, making it the 31 st designated World Heritage site in China. In this program, students will explore and report on their visits to these sites.
