    in “Love” Jukebox Memoir (release date: 2/25/14) After recording 2012’s Domestic Disturbances, I realized I’d been struggling on the last couple of records to assimilate some of our many influences into what could be described as “The Jet Age sound.” Thus the concept for this album: To “own” the music that inspired us, without worrying about appearances. Of course, we didn’t want to sound like a wedding band, so if a song didn’t make sense to a player, if it didn’t resonate, it wasn’t gonna happen. A few songs didn’t make the cut (notably my ABBA homage—seriously), but once we’d gotten those missteps out of the way, these tracks quickly fell into place: 1. I Can’t Turn Around – Deliberately written as a state-of-the-art Jet Age song, this track brings our memoir up- to-date. I’d initially attributed the extended outro to our stint opening for The Wedding Present during 2011’s Bizarro tour, but I realized we’d been doing stuff like this since our debut, 2005’s Breathless. 2. Come Lie Down – A dream come true for me as Swervedriver’s Adam Franklin and Ride’s Mark Gardener join me on vocals. When I first started making music, Ride really showed me how guys who sing like girls could rock like The Who, while Swervedriver gave me guitar heroics to aspire to. I also cribbed from Spiritualized’s take on the Troggs’ “Anyway That You Want Me” and The Wedding Present’s “Dalliance,” which is ironic, since the latter inspired me to pare back some of my shoegazing tendencies.

A recent emergence of the mobilities paradigm created potential for bridging the two knowledge networks and providing opportunities for crossover and mutual enrichment. Engaging with the intersection of tourism and migration mobilities, this study has a dual purpose. Theoretically it explores diaspora tourism as a promising link between tourism and migration. Practically diaspora tourism is offered as a coping strategy that can be used by immigrants to alleviate stress associated with relocation to a culturally dissimilar society. In this dissertation three aspects of diaspora tourism are explored as they pertain to the fourth wave of Ukrainian immigrants in the United States. The first aspect concerns identity formation and adjustment issues Ukrainian immigrants experience upon arrival to the United States, and how these issues affect their relationship with and desire to visit Ukraine.

El festival ha comptat al llarg de la seva trajectòria amb propostes dels més diversos colors i estils. Així ho demostren els artistes que durant aquests deu anys han desfilat pels seus escenaris: de Pixies a Aphex Twin, passant per Neil Young,Sonic Youth, Portishead, Pet Shop Boys, Pavement, Yo la tengo, Lou Reed, My Bloody Valentine, El-P, Pulp, Patti Smith, James Blake, Arcade Fire, Public Enemy, Grinderman, Television, Devo, Enrique Morente, The White Stripes, Wil- co, Tindersticks, PJ Harvey, Shellac, Dinosaur Jr., New Order, Surfin’ Bichos, Fuck Buttons, Melvins, The National, Psychic TV o Spiritualized, entre molts d’altres. REPERCUSSIÓ D’EDICIONS ANTERIORS Any rere any, el festival San Miguel Primavera Sound ha anat incrementant tant l’assistència de públic com la re- percussió als principals mitjans de premsa, ràdio i televisió. Si la primera edició va tancar amb una assistència de 8.000 persones, la del 2002 va arribar a 18.000 i la de 2003 va reunir entre els seus espais a més de 24.000 persones, l’assistència de 40.000 persones a l’any 2004 va significar un punt i apart i el festival va abandonar el Poble Espanyol.
