ORDER

1. As per the paper read 1 st above, eligibility and criteria for ranking in regard to admission to UG Programme effective from 2014 admission onwards have been approved.

2. As per paper read 2nd above, it has been decided to introduce Single Window System for admission to UG Programme offered in the affiliated Arts & Science Colleges under Kannur University with effect from 2015 admission.

3. As per paper read 3 rd above, it has been ordered to follow the eligibility and ranking criteria of UG Programme of University of Kerala in the case of subjects offered by both Universities (University of Kerala and Kannur University) and to follow the eligibility and ranking criteria of Kannur University for all other subjects exclusively offered by Kannur University for making admission to UG Programme 2015, through Single Window System and issued the prospectus accordingly vide paper read 4 th above.

4. After examining the complaints received in regard to eligibility of BCA Programme, the Admission Committee resolved to follow the eligibility condition of Kannur University, applicable for BCA Programme effective from 2014 admission.

5.Considering the requests received from the students & teachers, the Admission Committee met on 30.06.2015, resolved to relax the eligibility condition for B Sc Geology Programme as in the prospectus by insisting any one of the subjects (instead of two subjects as per the prospectus) Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Geology or Statistics.

6.After considering the matter in detail and in exercise of the powers of the Academic Council, the Vice- Chancellor has ordered the following.

i. The eligibility and criteria for ranking of University of Kerala shall be followed in admitting students to UG Programme in the affiliated Colleges of this University through Single Window System, in the case of Programmes offered by both University of Kerala and Kannur University.

ii. The eligibility and criteria for ranking of Kannur University (effective from 2014 admission) shall be followed in the case of courses offered exclusively by Kannur University.

iii. The eligibility condition of BCA Programme is fixed as similar to that of 2014 admission. That is candidates should have passed +2 or equivalent examinations with Computer Science or Mathematics or Computer Applications or Informatics Practice as one of the subjects in the curriculum (Ranking criteria: Marks of the qualifying exam + Marks of Maths+20% of the marks for Computer Science/ Electronics).

iv. The eligibility condition of B Sc Geology is fixed as candidates should have passed +2 or equivalent examination with any one of the following subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Geology or Statistics. (Ranking Criteria: Total Marks of the qualifying Exam + 15% of the marks obtained in Geology for those who have studied Geology).

7. The U.O.s read 1 st & 3 rd above stand modified to this extent.
