The Lifelong Learning Centre “Oloklirosi” was founded in 1995, in Agia Varvara Heraklion Crete, Greece. It is certified by the National Organization for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance (EOPPEP) and the General Secretary for Lifelong Learning of the Ministry of Education (GGDBM) with authorization code number 192011586. From 1995 since today “Oloklirosi” is a tutorial school which provides education for students in secondary education and prepares them for their examinations in the universities of the country. The last years the organization expanded its activities as a lifelong center and in addition it provides: ● educational and vocational training services to unemployed, vulnerable social groups and employees, on modern subjects that meet the real needs of the labour market in order to a) promote the unemployed people and people from vulnerable social groups to the labour market and b) upgrade employees’ skills, ● counseling and vocational guidance services, studies conduction services on the labour market, and ● entrepreneurship counseling and specialized entrepreneurship counseling services in the social economy, as well as specialized legal and tax support for beneficiaries who develop individual or collective business through social enterprises. The successful career of the Centre of Lifelong Learning Oloklirosi is due to a) the highly trained scientific personnel, b) the wide cooperation network with major companies for internships and c) the -according to strict criteria- selected teachers from the registry of the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance (EOPPEP) and the General Secretary for Lifelong Learning of the Ministry of Education (GGDBM), which are helped (by the centre) to continuously develop their skills in order to update their knowledge. What are the activities and experience of the organization in the areas relevant for this application? What are the skills and expertise of key staff/persons involved in the application? The centre has designed and led many national vocational training programs and projects. The centre’s team has a vast collaborative network allowing it to provide various services such as design of specific VET courses, organisation and training in various topics (soft/technical skills), provision of peripheral services such as consulting, job support, etc. Skills and Expertise of key persons: Mrs. Amalia Niniraki is a graduate of the Mathematics Department of the University of Crete and holds a Master in “Continuing education and lifelong learning” at Open University of Cyprus. Since 1995 she is the Owner of the Tutorial School “Oloklirosi” in Agia Varvara, Heraklion, Crete. In 2007 she founded “EXPERT STUDIES”, an ICT school for children and adults, and in 2009 “VET ANELIXIS”, at which she holds the positions of partner and training director, and Eu project Manager. She has a vast experience in managing and developing programs in Vocational education. She is also a member of the board of the chamber of commerce in Heraklion and a member of the board of technical school of the chamber of commerce. Mr. Stefanos Mamakis graduated from the University of Piraeus (Faculty of Shipping and Industry - Department of Maritime Studies) and completed postgraduate studies (M.Sc.) in Economic Theory and Politics at the University of Crete (School of Social, Economics and Political Sciences - Department of Economics). In 2015 he received his Ph.D. from the University of Crete (Faculty of Social Sciences, Economics and Political Sciences - Department of Economics), with special fields of scientific interest, the Industrial Organization, Game Theory and Labor Economics. He was a co-partner in “EXPERT STUDIES” and a co-owner with Mrs. Amalia Niniraki in VET ANELIXIS till 2017. Mr. Nikolaos Kamnakis is a graduate of the University of Crete, Faculty of Philosophy, Department of History and Archeology, aiming at Modern History. Since 2007 he has been working in the Vocational Training Center, Anelixis, on: • Professional counseling staff for the unemployed •Electronic submission and implementation of Erasmus + programs •Submission of proposals for co-funded programs for the unemployed and programs for employees. He has extensive experience in designing the organization and implementation of training programs. Today he works with the above competencies at center of lifelong learning Centre “Oloklirosi”. Mr. Georgios Karagiannakis graduated from University of Patras (Electrical Engineering) and holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Information Technology at Queen Mary & Westfield College-University of London. He works as a Web and System administrator. He has also worked as a Systems Software Specialist for IBM Greece. The last 15 years he teaches Computing at Lifelong Learning Center “Oloklirosi”. Mr. Andronis Efthimios graduated from University of Crete (PhD in Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechology, awarded by the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science). He has completed studies at the University of Newcastle (MSc in Industrial Biotechnology, awarded by the School of Agriculture and Biological Sciences) and owns a BSc in Biology awarded by the Department of Biology, School of Biological Sciences, Royal Holloway University of London. In 2001 he participated at Research program «Genetic Improvement of Grapevine Material and Improvement of Grapevine Production in Crete, Ioaninna, Limnos and Samos, University of Crete.» (Intereg II), EU FP3, O.P. «EDUCATION» ΙΙ, Measure: 2.2.3.st, PYTHAGORAS 2004-2006: «Funding of Research Groups in the University of Crete - New strategies for understanding plant tolerance mechanisms against abiotic and biotic stresses» - SUBPROJECT 28 and from 2004 until today he is private tutor Biologist at center of Lifelong learning “Oloklirosi”. Mr. Themistoklis Trivyzadakis graduated from University of Crete (BSc in Physics) and holds a postgraduate degree at special education from university of Nicosia, Cyprus. Since 2013 until today he works at the center of lifelong learning “Oloklirosi”. Mr. Lefteris Giannakoudakis is a published writer, director and awarded screenwriter. He holds a BSc degree in Biology (University of Athens, Faculty of Biology) and a MA in Creative Writing (Hellas Open University). He has been teaching Creative Writing, Storytelling and Scriptwriting since 2007 in many private and public organizations. He has been a partner of Lifelong Centre “Oloklirosi” for several years teaching Creative Thinking, Critical and Lateral Thinking and Storytelling. Evaluation (Section H.39) In the mid of the project an anonymous intermediate evaluation will take place. Here the participants will fill in a questionnaire and also write an individual comments report regarding the training, accommodation, meals, etc. Another final evaluation will take place at the end of the project. This way, “Oloklirosi” guarantees the quality of its projects and helps itself to steadily improve its services. Dissemination of results “Oloklirosi” will publish the outcomes of the project via (Section H.2) Newsletter (English) in our EU-wide network. Under the permission of the participants, the center will also publish photo documentations of the particular project. .
