Firm in Hope. Fervent in Charity. Creciendo en la Fe. Firmes en la Esperanza. Ardientes en la Caridad Fr. Luis R. Largaespada 26th Sunday in Ordinary Time (Cycle C) Pastor A Sunday Reflection Fr. John Aduseh-Poku Parochial Vicar The parable we read in today’s gospel should make us Fr. Gil Hernández stop and think. Perhaps we are not feasting every day like In Residence the rich man, but how many times do we pass by someone Mrs. Mary E. Fernández, Ed.S. begging and, instead of offering something, however little, School Principal we turn our heads away? Worse yet, how many times do we Mrs. Patricia Zapatero make excuses for our lack of charity by saying that they will Director of Religious Education spend it in drugs or alcohol? Roberto Berrocal Music Director To this way of justifying ourselves the Lord replies through the prophet Amos: “Woe to the complacent in Zion” (Am OFFICE HOURS (Horas de Oficina) 6:1a). For we are not called to judge but to help, to see the Monday thru Friday/Lunes a Viernes Lord in each of those poor souls we pass by while ignoring 8:00 am-5:00 pm them as if they didn’t exist. CHURCH IS OPEN (La iglesia está abierta) What are we to do? St. Paul is clear: “pursue Daily/Diario 9:00 am-7:00 pm righteousness, devotion, faith, love, patience and gentleness” (1 Tim 6:11). Each Sunday we proclaim our faith MASS SCHEDULE in Jesus Christ risen from the dead. Let us keep his (Horario de Misas) commandment to love one another so that he may receive SATURDAY VIGIL us when he returns in his glory. God bless you! 5:30 pm (English) SUNDAY 9:00 am (English, live streaming) Fr. Before Sunday Masses if a priest is available. 6,11). 1 PAESI E UOMINI NEL TEMPO COLLANA DI MONOGRAFIE DI STORIA, SCIENZE ED ARTI DIRETTA DA SOSIO CAPASSO ───── 22 ───── SOSIO CAPASSO GIULIO GENOINO IL SUO TEMPO, LA SUA PATRIA, LA SUA ARTE Prefazione del Prof. ANIELLO GENTILE dell’Università di Napoli Presidente della Società di Storia Patria di Terra di Lavoro ISTITUTO DI STUDI ATELLANI SETTEMBRE 2002 Tip. Cav.
