We had this house designed to not only be much larger than our previous home but also to incorporate a self- contained annexe as a granny flat. The end result is a very spacious and comfortable family home.” “The property is set well away from the road, and the garden backs onto open countryside, so not only are both the house and garden very peaceful, but there’s also a wonderful feeling of privacy here,” continues Anthony. “We have a very large patio terrace, where we can sit and relax or enjoy a nice meal, and the rest of the space is mainly laid to lawn with borders of shrubs and flower, so it’s very low maintenance. It’s a lovely garden that we have gained an awful lot of enjoyment from.” “My favourite room is definitely the lounge,” says Anthony. “It has a nice view across the garden and a really peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, so it’s a nice room to settle down in and watch a spot of TV.” “There’s no doubt that this is a stunning part of the Welsh countryside,” says Anthony, “and we’re only around half a mile from the entrance to Pembrey Country Park. It’s a beautiful place that consists of over five hundred acres woodland that extends all the way to Carmarthen Bay. It’s one of Wales’s top visitor attractions.” “The annex is very spacious and comfortable in its own right,” says Anthony. “It has a generous lounge area, a double bedroom, a bathroom and a good size kitchen, and it can be accessed from either the main house or via a separate entrance. It also has patio doors that lead out onto the lovely big terrace.” “We will be staying in the village, but I think it’s the space within the house that we’ll miss most when we move,” says Anthony. “It really is a beautiful home.” Collectively the property briefly offers four – five light and airy reception rooms, an attractive kitchen/breakfast room, four – five generous bedrooms, four bathrooms and an extensive family games room. The immaculate accommodation is extremely versatile and incorporates a totally self-contained one-bedroom ground floor annexe.
