Memberships come with valuable benefits such as access to ticket presales, priority seating, and a concierge phone line, as well as invitations to exclusive and exciting member receptions. We’d like to extend our gratitude to our season sponsors: Co-Communications, SL Green, UC Funds, the Whittingham Family, and Harman—the “official sound of The Palace Theatre.” Our sponsors are the backbone of our theatre. Without their financial commitment and partnership we would not have the ability to bring sensational comedians, musicians, and children’s entertainment to our backyard that makes The Palace so unique. We greatly appreciate the continued support from these wonderful sponsors. This Spring and summer we have a jam packed schedule with entertainment for everyone. From music, comedy and family entertainment, we’ve got everything covered. We’re honored to be presenting two iconic comedians, Jay Leno on May 2nd and Kevin James on May 4th. Our friends from Connecticut Ballet present their Spring performance of “Old, New, Borrowed & Blue!” Music City Session alum FILMORE returns to our Upstage on Friday May 17th with female solo artist Olivia Lane. We’re also excited to announce two legendary music acts that’ll be taking over The Palace stage! Leno, currently produces and is host of the CNBC Television series “JAY LENO’S GARAGE” now in its third season. “Jay Leno’s Garage” explores the world of cars, never forgetting that it’s the people behind the wheel who provide the real stories. The series debuted in October 2015 and delivered CNBC’s most-watched first season in network history. New episodes of “Jay Leno’s Garage” can be viewed on CNBC throughout the year. When he’s not on TV, Leno performs more than 100 stand-up shows annually across the country and internationally; participates in numerous charity and corporate events, does voice-overs for animated series, pens children’s books, and writes a monthly column in various automotive magazines. And in his “spare” time (as if he has any), he enjoys working on his collection of classic cars and motorcycles. In fact, he has built a number of cars, including an acclaimed eco-car in his eco-friendly green garage. THE PALACE Theatre for the Performing Arts 7 Show Information Kevin James Saturday, May 4 | 8:00pm Kevin James began his career as a stand-up on the Long Island comedy scene. After being discovered at the 1996 Montreal Comedy Festival, he signed a network development deal to create his own sitcom. The King of Queens, which premiered in 1998, ran for nine seasons on CBS with James starring and executive producing, and it garnered him an Emmy nomination in 2006 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. The show concluded its run in 2007 but continues to air daily in syndication across the country and around the world. James also starred in and executive produced the sitcom Kevin Can Wait for Sony Television and CBS. In 2001, James brought his stand-up act to TV with Sweat the Small Stuff, a one-hour special for Comedy Central. In 2005, Kevin James and Ray Romano executive produced and starred in the HBO Sports Special Making the Cut: The Road to Pebble Beach; a documentary about the Pebble Beach Pro Am Golf Tournament that was nominated for a Sports Emmy. His second comedy special Never Don’t Give Up premiered on Netflix in April 2018. James was the producer, co-writer, and star of the hit comedies Paul Blart: Mall Cop 1 & 2, Zookeeper, and Here Comes The Boom. James made his feature film debut in 2005 in Columbia Pictures’ Hitch starring opposite Will Smith, and starred alongside Adam Sandler in Pixels, GrownUps, Grown Ups 2, and I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. He starred in the feature True Memoirs of an International Assassin for Netflix in 2016.
