Cornflower

GIT is ready to launch grading service of “Cornflower Blue” Sapphire “Cornflower Blue” the word that refers to the most desirable color of blue sapphire. The literature explained the beauty of this color from the color of “Cornflower” and referred to the finest color of blue sapphire from Kashmir. The blue sapphire of superb quality from this classic mine has been described as a highly saturated, medium to medium-dark blue with violet tint. Furthermore, rather than being a clear stone, the sapphire must contain very fine minute particles inside. The presence of these fine particles does help create the stone’s internal sheen resulting the velvety appearance. Up to the present days, blue having such excellent characteristics can originate not only from Kashmir, but also from several other localities. GIT has conducted researches on the standardization of the famous color trade names of “Cornflower Blue” for many years. Finally, after the painstaking work, the ultimate standard of Cornflower blue sapphire is ready to launch in the trade in addition to the color grading of Pigeon’s Blood and services. Therefore, GIT gem testing laboratory proudly announces the official start of the Cornflower blue grading service to our valued clients from March 2016 onwards.
