The Tower is published four times a year: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter.     LINDA BRAUCH KENNY SCHOLARSHIP Single Mom Ms. Kenny graduated from Maryville University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Communications and from Lindenwood University with a Masters of Arts in Organizational Communications while working full time and raising two small children. She fully understands the struggles and stress of a single mother while trying to further her education and make a better life for her family. This is a $1,000 scholarship to be awarded to one (1) student in the 2020 summer trimester. The recipient will be selected through a blind selection process. Qualified applicants must demonstrate satisfaction of the following scholarship and application criteria: Scholarship Criteria: 1. A single (not married) mother of one or more children 2. Various rationales for this have been explored in the literature. However, little consideration has been given to the possibility that the healthcare belief system of prominent early chiropractors may have influenced the use of the diagnostic modality through the years. The original rationale was the visualisation of chiropractic subluxations, defined as bones slightly out of place, pressing on nerves, and ultimately causing disease. This paradigm of radiography has survived in parts of the chiropractic profession, despite lacking evidence of clinical validity. The purpose of this paper is to compare the characteristics of the chiropractic technique systems that have utilised radiography for subluxation detection with the characteristics of religion, and to discover potential historical links that may have facilitated the development of those characteristics. Discussion: Twenty-three currently or previously existing technique systems requiring radiography for subluxation analysis were found using a search of the internet, books and consultation with experts. Evidence of religiosity from the early founders’ writings was compared with textbooks, published papers, and websites of subsequently developed systems. Six criteria denoting religious thinking were developed using definitions from various sources. They are: supernatural concepts, claims of supremacy, rules and rituals, sacred artefacts, sacred stories, and special language.

This program is available to dependents of staff and faculty who are full-time and dependent eligibility is at 100%. Following is a brief description of the programs and the participating colleges and universities. Summary… There are about 677 participating colleges and universities. Eligibility of dependents is established by Whitworth University. The Tuition Exchange Scholarships are not guaranteed to applicants, they are competitive awards. Eligible dependents must apply for the scholarship through Whitworth University and have also applied for admission at the receiving institution. Application Process… 1. Approximately twelve months before you plan to enroll in college, contact the Whitworth University’s liaison officer Heidi Petersen at extension x3800 to confirm that you are eligible and that the institution’s exchange program is operating without restrictions. Liaison officer authorizes eligibility and employee submits the scholarship application/certification form online at tuitionexchange. org to the institutions to which you have applied. 2. The liaison officer at the institution at which you have applied will notify you that your scholarship application has been accepted or rejected by completing the online form. Emails will be sent to you and to the liaison officer at Whitworth University. If you have had no response by March 15, ask the liaison officer at your home institution to inquire about the status of your application.
