ORANGE HOCKEY First Season: 2008-09 Going Down in History All-Time Record (entering 2017): 137-142-35 4Senior Stephanie Grossi currently holds the program record for career assists with 68. She is just one point away (112) from taking over the top spot for career points, held by Melissa All-Time CHA Record: 77-61-24 Piacentini (112). She tallied a goal against Clarkson to tie Piacentini at the top with 112 2016-17 Overall Record: 16-13-5 career points. 2016-17 CHA Record/Finish: 14-4-2/2nd 4With an assist against Clarkson, Alysha Burriss is also climbing the Orange all-time ledger for Final Ranking: 2nd career points and goals, coming in at sixth (83) and fifth (38), respectively. The assist against Letterwinners Returning/Lost: 16/6 Clarkson moved her into the top 10 for career assists in program history, tying her with Margo Scharfe and Julie Rising at 45. Newcomers: 7 Orange in the Olympics COACHING STAFF 4The Orange will be represented in the 2018 Olympic Winter Games as former Syracuse Head Coach: Paul Flanagan captain Akane Hosoyamada will play for Team Japan in PyeongChang. This will be the first Alma Mater/Year: St. Lawrence ('80) Olympic Games for Hosoyamada, who graduated from Syracuse in 2015. Assistant Coach: Alison Domenico 4Hosoyamada is just the second Orange hockey player to compete in the Olympics, following in the footsteps of Stefanie Marty, who represented the Swiss National Team in two Olympic Alma Mater/Year: St. Lawrence ('09) Games (2006 and 2010). Assistant Coach: Brendon Knight Alma Mater/Year: Potsdam ('01) Last Line of Defense Athletic Trainer: Molly Rausch 4The Orange defense has tallied eight of Syracuse's 47 goals (17.0 percent) this season with contributions by Lindsay Eastwood, Jessica DiGirolamo, Allie Munroe and Megan Quinn. The defenders have accumulated 32 assists among the group, good for 39 percent of the SOCIAL MEDIA Orange's dishes this year.
