P­CEP’s Rock Star

For those interested in music, perhaps they should listen to some of ’s music. Duane Denison has traveled all over the world as a talented member of the band, Tomahawk, and as a music instructor.

Prior to becoming one of Spin magazine’s “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” and ​ ​ performing with numerous bands and artists, Denison went to Plymouth­Salem High School. It was there that an interest in going into a career in music started for Denison. His Social Studies teacher, Steve Williams, helped him feel like he “wasn’t completely wrong for going into a career in music.” Denison graduated from the Plymouth­Salem as a part of the class of 1977 before studying and receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music from Eastern Michigan University in 1984.

Denison first gained public recognition for his work with his alternative rock band, . Their , "Goat" and "Liar," made Rolling Stones magazine's "Top 100 Albums of the 90's" list. Later, Denison went on to be a sideman for Hank Williams III and The . Currently, Denison is the guitarist for Tomahawk, along with singer/keyboardist , drummer , and bass player .
