11 – 15 June Cats - Following the huge recent success of Oliver! and Seussical Jnr, City Youth Theatre Company are now incredibly excited to announce their forthcoming production of the hit musical Cats! 22 – 29 June Harold Pinter Double Bill of ‘The Lover’ and ‘Celebration’ ‘The Lover’, directed by Kevin Moore, is a one act play that follows the surprisingly different marriage of Richard and Sarah. It is a delightfully playful show that keeps you on your toes as fantasy and reality collide, as the different desires in their marriage push up against each other until it reaches boiling point. Accompanying ‘The Lover’ is ‘Celebration’. This short piece is a comedic satire on our need to celebrate our own financial success and the craving for validation. In a fashionable restaurant, are those the diners we always seem to find ourselves near, or are they how other diners view us? For Harold Pinter fans, the evening is sure to entertain and fascinate in equal measure. For those yet to be convinced, it could be the perfect introduction to this brilliant creator of theatre.
