    ARBITERS’ COMMISSION (ARB) Report for the 2nd quarter FIDE COUNCIL 2020 (Online, June 15th, 2020) The present report covers the commission’s activity in the period between February 1st, 2020 and May 26th, 2020. It was prepared in collaboration with Nebojsa BARALIC, Secretary of the Commission. While arbiters’ activity in tournaments was directly impacted by the Covid19 pandemic, the work of the commission continued and we could deliver key projects such as the Arbiters’ Manual 2020, finalize the work on the selection of arbiters for the coming Olympiad and continue improving our internal organization. We wish to thank all members, arbiters and people from other commissions who contributed! 1) MEETINGS AND REPRESENTATION a) ARB MONTHLY ONLINE MEETINGS From February 2020, the commission started a new working habit, to improve our work and achieve better results. Monthly online meetings are scheduled, and they increase connexions between members in a new way of communication. On the agenda: status and discussions on activities of the commission, brainstorming on projects and current issues, plans for the future, review of disciplinary cases, etc. This method of work has proven to be highly successful. Until now, we organized three Monthly Online Meetings: 1st Meeting - February 18th, 2020 2nd Meeting - April 11th, 2020 3rd Meeting - May 23rd, 2020 The 4th Monthly Online Meeting will be held on Saturday, June 13th, 2020.
