When the maximum dial reading is reached (BDC of the meter) position the at »TDC«.

Note

If the crankshaft was turned past »TCD«, turn the crankshaft two more turns in the direction of the engine rotation. Do not turn the engine in the opposite direction of the engine rotation.

– Measure the distance from the left outer edge -A- to the mark‐ ing -B- on the camshaft. • Specified value: 61 to 64 mm.

– Once the specified value is reached, measure the distance between the marking on the intake camshaft -B- and the mark‐ ing on the exhaust camshaft -C-. • Specified value: 124 to 126 mm.

Note

If one tooth has an offset, there will be a deviation of approxi‐ mately 6 mm from the specified value. Install the timing chain once again if an offset is determined.
