Famous people sharing about the Festival… …It is nice to realize that the level of the Veselo Festival is on the constant rise. Yet it preserves the atmosphere of a large scout camp. For those who have been festival’s guests more than once, it doesn’t really matter which venue it will take place at next time. As long as it is fun. But these people are actually the ones who create heaps of fun around themselves… Vladimir Zelenskiy, showman …It is an excellent alternative to any family vacation. It is a chance to reinforce relations within the family, between children and parents. Here, you don’t lie around with a glass of wine bored to the bone; you participate actively in the vibrant festival life, in the company of renowned people… ВVasiliy Virastiuk, athlete, two-time holder of the World’s Strongest Man title We really love Greece, we like everything about it! We even stayed for one additional day. Today we’re going to taste some fish with Volodia Zelenskiy and Valera Meladze, for some reason, it is particularly good here in Greece! Overall, Veselo Festival is awesome! People are friendly and fun!))) We had a great concert, a positive and kind one! We enjoyed every bit of it! Thank you for the invitation! We hope to continue as the good friends of Kvartal! Vladimir Presnyakov, a singer, composer, actor, and Natalia Podolskaya, a singer The organizers came up with an excellent idea of combining active leisure with an entertainment program, what could be better! My family and I visited the festival twice; I enjoyed both working and resting there. We organized football tournaments for children and adults, at which the finalists played in a super match against the “all-star” team. We experienced tons of positive emotions and unforgettable impressions! I wish Veselo Festival movement to welcome each year more and more people willing to have a good time! Aleksey Mikhailichenko, football player, Olympic champion and Cup Winners’ Cup Holder ...I’d like to thank the organizers for inviting me to perform on the stage of an ancient amphitheater on one of the most picturesque Greek islands – Rhodes. Splendid atmosphere and grateful audience! I really enjoyed socializing with the Ukrainians! My best wishes to the Festival! Thomas Anders, singer, Modern Talking front man ... Veselo Festival is a genuine feast of music, sports and great mood. The organizers managed to create an incredibly unforgettable atmosphere. The event gave you the opportunity to hang out with friends, have a good time and to simply rest from everyday worries! Ani Lorak, singer ...I am often asked, “What’s your perfect vacation?” And it seems to me that it’s easy to find an answer to that question by going to Veselo Festival at least once! Dances in the morning, sports and games in the afternoon, concerts in the evening, and other kinds of dances at night, and all that is in the company of wonderful people and non-stop humor. I talked about the festival excitedly and at great length to my friends; next time I am bringing them along, to prove that I wasn’t giving them a say-so! I am excited and recommend everyone going to the festival! :-))) Vladislav Yama, dancer and choreographer …Veselo is an amazing festival, a vivid, incredibly red hot and positive one. Many thanks to all organizers for creating a great atmosphere of a holiday, unforgettable vacation and entertainment! Potap and Nastia Duo will be happy to go to the festival again, to make the event still more fun! Potap, producer and Potap and Nastia Duo performer, director, showman ...I was invited to the festival in Emirates to give a solo concert, but alongside that, I really enjoyed participating in multiple events and contests of this big-time feast. For example, there was a surprise in store for the Karaoke contest winner – together we performed a song at my concert. I wish to Veselo Festival new successes and prosperity!... Tina Karol, singer ...It’s a great festival! From morning to evening, the day is packed with all sorts of events. People have what to choose from – whether it is sports, dancing, star concerts or the disco! In a word, VESELO is FUN!... Elka, singer Our flight landed in Athens at 11 a.m. and instead of 3.5 hours, our trip to hotel took around eight hours, as we stopped by in different villages, enjoyed the most delicious food in national taverns, and drank Greek wine! And it felt so peaceful and heartfelt… My impressions of the festival are the best! But most memorable to me was breakfast time when artists and festival guests mingled together. Everyone is equal! People greet each other, say hello, smile, like one large amicable company. On the whole, the atmosphere is very good and positive))). I heard that great DJs work with you, so I am going to the night disco party. I hope the impressions will be still brighter! I wish good luck and many future successes to Veselo Festiva! Valeriy Meladze, singer Around me are great people! They realize that I am just like anyone else. I eat, I sleep and I walk, like everybody! We live next door to the Ukrainians, we socialize, discuss things. Everything is good, most importantly, people are kind and open! In our turbulent time, if you ask me, “Do I like here at Veselo Festival?” My answer will be, “I sure do! I like it a lot!” The spectators are superb, the equipment is finely tuned, everything is organized on the highest level! Great job! Keep it up! Elena Vayenga, singer, songwriter, composer It was all in high gear, loads of positive emotions. I really liked it! All Ukrainian regions are represented in the festival, moreover, it welcomed foreigners who had first 3-4 songs translated to them, and then they danced with the rest of the crowd, because music is an international thing. Veselo Festival offers special energy and drive. Good luck to everyone! The TIK Band ...We had so much fun! It is especially delightful to see so many fellow countrymen around, who speak your language and understand you at once. But most importantly, everyone will find something to do at the festival – kids and adults, parents and children rest and have fun together, feeling very comfortable at the same time!.

Public Opinion Survey of Residents of Ukraine September 14 – October 10, 2017 Methodology National Sample • The survey was conducted by GfK Ukraine on behalf of the Center for Insights in Survey Research. • The survey was conducted throughout Ukraine (except for the occupied territories of Crimea and the Donbas) from September 14 to October 10, 2017 through face-to-face interviews at respondents’ homes. • The sample consisted of 2,400 permanent residents of Ukraine aged 18 and older and eligible to vote. It is representative of the general population by gender, age, region, and settlement size. An additional 4,800 respondents were also surveyed in the cities of Dnipro, Khmelnytskyi, Mariupol and Mykolaiv (i.e. 1,200 respondents in each city). A multi-stage probability sampling method was used with the random route and next birthday methods for respondent selection. • Stage One: The territory of Ukraine was split into 25 administrative regions (24 regions of Ukraine and Kyiv). The survey was conducted throughout all regions of Ukraine, with the exception of the occupied territories of Crimea and the Donbas. • Stage Two: The selection of settlements was based on towns and villages. Towns were grouped into subtypes according to their size: • Cities with a population of more than 1 million • Cities with a population of between 500,000-999,000 • Cities with a population of between 100,000-499,000 • Cities with a population of between 50,000-99,000 • Cities with a population up to 50,000 • Villages Cities and villages were selected at random. Nr 14 ROCZNIK INTEGRACJI EUROPEJSKIEJ 2020 ŁUKASZ DONAJ DOI : 10.14746/rie.2020.14.6 Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań ORCID: 0000-0002-7720-1260 Volodymyr Zelensky: What has Been Done in the Past Year? What’s Next?...1 Introduction Tadeusz Iwański, an analyst from the Center for Eastern Studies, has noted that the political situation in Ukraine after the Revolution of Dignity and the ensuing Russian aggression created a peculiar social context, in which the perception of traditional politicians has dramatically changed for the worse. After the revolution, the society has been eagerly expecting a thorough recovery of the state, combined with a new quality of governance and public empowerment. However, the 2014 presidential and parliamentary elections changed little in terms of the political elite, as the most im- portant state functions remained in the hands of politicians who first emerged in the 1990s, when the oligarchic system in Ukraine was being formed. The reforms intro- duced in the first two to three years after the revolution, mainly under pressure from Western creditors and the civil society, did not meet the society’s needs. Not only did they fail to improve the quality of life, but eventually led to the emigration of some 2 million Ukrainians, which placed an additional burden on the shoulders of the old and new elites. Initiated but never completed, the painful reforms have increased po- litical volatility and sapped public trust in the political class even further. A survey by Kyiv’s Razumkov Center showed that just before the presidential elections only 23 percent of respondents trusted the president.

Main objective. The article deals with the key factors of the virality of media content in social networks and technical university stu- dents’ media literacy in social networks. Methodology. We analyzed the concept of virality and generalized the reasons that affect the popularity of the information posted in social networks. The three main groups of viral- ity factors were singled out: content (its subject and form), the audience and the specific character of a social network. We have also analyzed the content of the three most popular Ukrainian media in Facebook: “Ukray- inska Pravda”, “Hromadske TV” and “TSN” to define the virality factors in modern Ukrainian conditions. The study was conducted in National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Insti- tute” (Kyiv, Ukraine). In addition quantitative analysis of 10 closed ended responses, qualitative analysis of 5 open ended responses and focus group discussion experts were done. The study population included students (n =1100) of the fourth course and 10 experts (professors in the fields of engineering (5 persons), pedagogics (2 persons) and social communi- cations (3 persons)). Results and conclusions. Due to the study results there are few most popular content topics (politics, war in eastern Ukraine and basic needs) that cause the virality of information. Given the speci- ficity of the algorithm for ranking posts in Facebook news line, we traced the reasons for the popularity of certain materials, which are caused by the situation in the country, emotions, induced by the publication, type of content and time of users’ activity in the social network.

  • Eurovision 2008 De La Chanson
