REGISTRATION PROCESSES AND COMPETITION PROCEDURES HAVE CHANGED. 2018 National Collegiate Taekwondo Championships 2 INTRODUCTION The National Collegiate Taekwondo Association (NCTA) is pleased to host the 43rd National Collegiate Taekwondo Championships and 5th National High School Championships from April 6-8, 2018, at American University in Washington, D.C. The Collegiate Championships will include poomsae and sparring competitions for color belts and black belts; the High School Championships will include poomsae and sparring competitions for black belts only. The NCTA Championships are USA Taekwondo-sanctioned events and serve as qualifiers for the 2018 USA Taekwondo National Championships for all competitors. All competitors (high school and collegiate) will qualify to compete at the 2018 USA Taekwondo National Championships in their corresponding poomsae and/or sparring divisions. Collegiate black belt sparring and poomsae team trial divisions will serve as Team Trials for the 2018 U.S. National Collegiate team. New SIS Building Directions to Campus Parking For students visiting the SIS Graduate Admissions Office, Pay-As-You-Go parking is available across the street from main campus in the Nebraska Avenue Commuter Lot (at the intersection of Nebraska and New Mexico Avenues, NW). Pay-As-You-Go machines are located on either side of the Nebraska Avenue Commuter Lot. By Car From northeast of Washington (New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore) follow I-95 south to I-495 west toward Silver Spring. (See “From I-495” below.) From northwest of Washington (western Pennsylvania, western Maryland) follow I-270 south. Where I- 270 divides, follow the right-hand branch toward northern Virginia. (Do not take the branch toward Washington.) Merge with I-495 (Capital Beltway). (See “From I-495” below.) From south or west of Washington (northern Virginia, Norfolk, Richmond, Charlottesville) follow I-95 north or I-66 east to I-495 (Capital Beltway). Take I-495 north toward Silver Spring. (See “From I-495” below.) From I-495 (Capital Beltway) Take exit 39 and follow the signs for River Road (Maryland Route 190) east toward Washington. Continue east on River Road to the fifth traffic light. Turn right onto Goldsboro Road (Maryland Route 614). At the first traffic light, turn left onto Massachusetts Avenue NW (Maryland Route 396). Continue on Massachusetts Avenue NW through the first traffic circle (Westmoreland Circle). From Westmoreland Circle, continue straight until you reach a second traffic circle (Ward Circle). MDOT Consolidated Transportation Program Reductions MDOT’s draft 6-year Consolidated Transportation Program (CTP) for FY2021-2026. shows a $2.9 billion reduction over the last 6-year plan • While the cuts are distributed across MDOT modes, Maryland’s contribution to WMATA is 100% funded for capital and operating (as of 9-25-20) • $150 million in cuts to MTA on top of last year’s $303 million reduction to the 6-year CTP will further impact the failing transit network in the Baltimore region • Cuts to system preservation budgets for all MDOT modes has a longer term fiscal impact on our transportation network. -

Introduction The Master Transportation Plan (MTP) Goals and Policies document specifies three general policies that form the foundation of the MTP and, therefore, transportation in Arlington in the years ahead: integrating transportation with land use, supporting the design and operation of complete streets, and managing travel demand and transportation systems. Between 2015 and 2030, Arlington County population is projected to increase 25 percent and employment is projected to increase by 20 percent. Increasing and enhancing transit options is a prerequisite to accommodating continued long-term growth in Arlington’s population and business activity. As noted in the MTP, the integration of transit and land use, the organization of community development around high quality transit service, has been a foundational policy for the Metrorail corridors in the County for more than 30 years. -

This route directly affects me and my commute on a daily basis. 3 A Donovan This route would be a great addition, and a stop at the new Wharf development would be really helpful. The Union Station‐ Navy Yard route has low ridership, especially during the mid‐day and on weekends (17 passengers boarding per hour, tied for 4th in the system). It also currently serves areas that do not demand high‐ Dear DDOT, We live in NE on Capitol Hill and frequently use the Union Station‐Navy Yard Metro route to take our daughter to school. In the summer we use the frequency, all‐day service. From end to end, the trip on the route often to go to Nationals games and to go to Yards Park. The proposed changes would severely impact my family's ability to get our daughter to school and DC Circulator is 28 minutes. -
Marine Corps Marathon Transportation Metro Opens at 6 A.M
Marine Corps Marathon Transportation Metro opens at 6 a.m. on Marine Corps Marathon Day, October 28 QUANTICO, VA (Oct 24, 2018) – As the majority of MCM Weekend events from Oct. 26-28 occur at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center at National Harbor, MD, the Marine Corps Marathon Organization is offering free shuttle service from both the Eisenhower and Van Dorn Metro stations to the Gaylord. A host of other transportation possibilities are available throughout MCM Weekend. Runners and spectators can access all weekend transportation information through the MCM Transportation page and on the MCM App. Metro Metro services open at 6 a.m. for the 43rd Marine Corps Marathon and MCM10K on Sunday, Oct. 28. Runners are encouraged to become familiar with the Metro map in advance of event morning and be aware of the most convenient stations to access preferred locations. In advance of MCM Weekend, runners and supporters should purchase a Metro SmarTrip card. To the Expo: Take Metro to Eisenhower (yellow line) Van Dorn (blue line) stations, then enjoy a free shuttle to National Harbor. To the Kids Run: Take Metro to the Pentagon station (yellow or blue line), then ride the shuttle to the start line. To the MCM10K: The Archives-Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter station (green or yellow line) is most convenient to the MCM10K start. Other nearby options include L’Enfant Plaza (yellow, green, blue or orange line) or Smithsonian (blue or orange line). To the MCM Start: Access Runners Village through the Pentagon station (yellow or blue line). On Course: Smithsonian station (blue, orange or silver line) offers access to the National Mall for a stretch of the MCM course between miles 17-20. -
