Boosting the Bench There are two new additions to the Colgate bench this season in assistant coaches Ryan Stone and Allison Paiano. Stone coached the Chinese National Team in 2005-06 and is the former Tara French women’s hockey assistant coach. Paiano is a 2006 Colgate graduate, who lettered four years for the Raiders and is the program’s second all- time scorer with 110 points.

Captain Crazy Colgate is trying something new with captains this season, naming home and away captains and assistants. At Starr Rink Tara French will wear the ‘C’, with Ashley Bradford, Clancy Todd and Mallory Johnston as assistants. On the road Carly McNaughton and Kate Wolgemuth will lead the Raiders with Ashley Johnston, Kara Leene and Elin Brown assisting.

Hey Rookie There are eight newcomers to the squad this season. Jill Cater-Cyker and Marissa Dombovy both played for the Syracuse Stars, the third and fourth players on the Colgate roster from the Stars club. Ali Edell and Evan Minnick are both from the U.S. and will add firepower up front for the Raiders as will a pair from , Beth Rotenberg and Katie Stewart. Nicole McDonald is a defender who used to play with teammate Elin Brown and Sam Hunt. Sara Plunkett is the new Raider goalie.
