RICHARD CREES Richard, or Billy as he is better known, has been with Celtic since 2010 when he joined the club in their debut season in Welsh League Division 1. Before Celtic he played up the valley at Llanhilleth, Abertillery Bluebirds and Tredegar Town. As a youth player he had a spell with Cardiff City under 16’s.

HIS TEAM MATES ON BILLY As soon as Billy arrived in the summer of 2010 he fitted straight in, quickly establishing himself as our number one left back. Back then he had long blonde locks but age hasn't been kind so we won't mention his duck pond. One of the best full backs in the Welsh league who has always turned down offers from the so called bigger clubs, Billy was made skipper in 2014 and it was a perfect fit – he rarely misses training, leads by example – he epitomises the edict that you put 100% into training as you would in the weekend match. Billy is capable of telling tall stories (please excuse the pun) – one such when keeper Nicky Church got sent off in 2011 late in the game versus Bryntirion. Billy the midget said he was a good stop-gap goalie. In he went and 6 minutes later he had picked the ball out of the net 4 times and we lost 7-0 !!
