The 2003-04 season was the 19 pts, 12 rebs (1/6/15) school’s first competing at an NCAA Division I level. The Nixon File HEAD COACH CATHY NIXON Cathy Nixon recently completed her 19th year as the head coach of Utah Valley women’s basketball in 2013-14. In four seasons at the Division I level, Nixon produced 12 all-conference performers, one 3-time All-American, one two-time Nixon Year-by-Year GWC Player of the Year, a Defensive Player of the Year, a Newcomer of the Year, and has earned one Coach of the Year award.

She was named a high school All-American during both her junior and senior seasons.
