2 President’s message

Greetings,

Hope this August finds you in the best of health and spirits. With the advent of our children going back to school, we have some projects restarting for the fall.

We have new members that have joined our working groups. I would like to welcome Yagnesh Pathak to our Board, also, Dr. Bala Kulkarni as patron member. Two new advisors joined to help the board implement its various activities, they are Ashok and Pritha Ghosh— welcome.

Committees that are currently active include the temple planning committee, walkathon committee, Parent/Adult program, there are also plans under- way to provide food every Sunday at our temple (Bhandara), please keep a look out for the dates and volunteer to cook/help prepare food on Sundays.

The visa papers have been submitted for the priest and now it is a waiting period about 2 for approval from the visa authorities. The cost of maintaining a poojari will increase our monthly operating costs. If our members could contrib- ute at least $50 per month we will be in very good shape. Do consider donating through ACH if you are not doing so, yet. You may contact me directly if you have any questions at [email protected] or ph# 505-980-6649 for further information on this.

We have many upcoming celebrations scheduled in our temple, please come and join in the ceremonies and fellowship. I encourage everyone to participate in the various activities and progress of our temple.

Ultimately, we are a volunteer member-run program and our success depends on the individuals willing to stand up and be leaders. Krishna Jaiswal President
