Tempest, Bob Dylan's 35th studio album , was released by Columbia Records in September 2012. The album of all new material, written by Dylan, received critical and popular acclaim, peaking at number three on the Billboard 200 chart. The wide range of songs present on Tempest, from the 14 minute long, RMS Titanic-envoking title track "Tempest", to the bluesy "Narrow Way" showcase yet again that Dylan is a true master of his craft. Rolling Stone gave Tempest five stars and said the record is “...a reminder that Dylan now stands virtually alone among his 1960s peers. His own final act, meanwhile, rolls on. It’s a thing to behold.” Wilco is a Chicago sextet formed by singer-songwriter and guitarist Jeff Tweedy in the mid-1990s. The band’s current lineup solidified in 2004 when guitarist Nels Cline and guitarist/keyboardist Patrick Sansone joined Tweedy, founding bassist John Stirratt, drummer Glenn Kotche and keyboardist Mikael Jorgensen. Wilco's brand of classic roots rock incorporates folk, pop and genre-spanning experimentalism. The band's 10-album catalog includes 2002’s Yankee Hotel Foxtrot (named one of the 500 greatest albums of all time by Rolling Stone), 2005’s Grammy award-winning A Ghost is Born, the Grammy-nominated Wilco (The Album) and The Whole Love and more. NPR has called Wilco "the best rock band in America" and the band has been heralded by the Los Angeles Times as "an amazing machine whose six players seem more at one with their music than any rock group working today." The Wilco catalog includes Mermaid Avenue Volumes 1, 2 and 3, which, in collaboration with British folk singer Billy Bragg, sets original music to song lyrics by the iconic Woody Guthrie. My Morning Jacket has built a reputation as a group who consistently challenges the paradigms in which they are placed. From psychedelic to soul to classic rock and roll, My Morning Jacket's range fills out the heart of the AmericanaramA Festival of Music lineup. The Louisville quintet released the first of 6 albums in 1999 with their last two, 2008's "Evil Urges" and 2011's "Circuital" each receiving Grammy nominations - the latter debuting at number 5 on the Billboard 200 chart. The band features Jim James (singer/songwriter, guitar), Tom Blankenship( bass), Patrick Hallahan(drums), Carl Broemel (guitar, pedal steel, saxophone, vox) and Bo Koster (keyboards, vox). Known as one of the most engaging, eclectic & electric bands, in no small part due to Jim James' other- worldly vocals, they've become legendary for their live performances. The New York Times wrote this about the band, “…the new kings of expand-your-mind, religious-experience rock…” AMERICANARAMA FESTIVAL OF MUSIC 2013 U.S. TOUR DATES DATE CITY/STATE VENUE SUPPORT Jun 26 West Palm Beach, FL Cruzan Amphitheatre BOB WEIR Jun 27 Tampa, FL Live Nation Amphitheatre BOB WEIR Jun 29 Atlanta, GA Aarons Amphitheatre BOB WEIR Jun 30 Nashville, TN The Lawn at Riverfront Park BOB WEIR Jul 02 Memphis, TN Autozone Park RICHARD THOMPSON ELECTRIC TRIO Jul 05 Noblesville, IN Klipsch Music Center RICHARD THOMPSON ELECTRIC TRIO Jul 06 Cincinnati, OH Riverbend Music Center RICHARD THOMPSON ELECTRIC TRIO Jul 07 Columbus, OH Nationwide Arena RICHARD THOMPSON ELECTRIC TRIO Jul 10 Saint Paul, MN Midway Stadium RICHARD THOMPSON ELECTRIC TRIO Jul 11 Peoria, IL Cheifs Stadium RICHARD THOMPSON ELECTRIC TRIO Jul 12 Chicago, IL Toyota Park RICHARD THOMPSON ELECTRIC TRIO Jul 14 Clarkston, MI DTE Music Theatre RICHARD THOMPSON ELECTRIC TRIO Jul 15 Toronto, ON Molson Canadian Amphitheatre RICHARD THOMPSON ELECTRIC TRIO <<more>> Jul 18 Darien Center, NY Darien Lakes PAC RYAN BINGHAM Jul 19 Bridgeport, CT The Ball Park at Harbor Yard RYAN BINGHAM Jul 20 Mansfield, MA Comcast Center RYAN BINGHAM Jul 21 Saratoga Springs, NY Saratoga PAC RYAN BINGHAM Jul 23 Washington, DC Merriweather Post Pavilion RYAN BINGHAM Jul 24 Virginia Beach, VA Farm Bureau Live @ Virginia Beach RYAN BINGHAM Jul 26 Hoboken, NJ Pier A RYAN BINGHAM Jul 27* Wantagh, NY Nikon at Jones Beach Theatre RYAN BINGHAM Jul 28 Camden, NJ Susquehanna Bank Center RYAN BINGHAM Jul 31 Denver, CO Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre RYAN BINGHAM Aug 01 Salt Lake City, UT USANA Amphitheatre RYAN BINGHAM Aug 03 Irvine, CA Verizon Wireless Amphitheater RYAN BINGHAM Aug 04 Mountain View, CA Shoreline Amphitheatre RYAN BINGHAM *Please note that My Morning Jacket will not be performing on this show All dates subject to change. • Wilco-Songs Minimalistisch
Folkdays …

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: WILCO HOSTS HEADCOUNT AND PATAGONIA INC.’S “VOTE THE ENVIRONMENT” CAMPAIGN AT U.S. TOUR STOPS - Non-partisan voter registration drive paired with environmental campaign turns Wilco concerts into more than a musical experience NEW YORK, NY – With the Presidential election approaching fast, the Chicago-based rock band Wilco has turned their concerts into a call for democratic participation by hosting the non-partisan voter registration organization HeadCount and Patagonia Inc.’s “Vote the Environment” campaign at nearly every U.S tour stop. On Wilco’s upcoming tour, which begins in Chicago on Sept. 15th and ends in Los Angeles on Sept. 30th, HeadCount and Patagonia will set up side-by-side booths at each concert. Anyone in attendance at these concerts will have the chance to register to vote. Anyone will also be able to remind their elected officials that environmental issues help determine how they vote. In support of these efforts, Wilco also donated an exclusive version of their song “Whole Love” – the title track from their Grammy-nominated album The Whole Love – with all proceeds from download of this song benefitting HeadCount and its nationwide voter registration campaign. (Track can be downloaded at: http://bit.ly/LH70bE). Patagonia also produced a special edition Wilco/Vote the Environment t-shirt, with a portion of proceeds benefitting HeadCount (T-shirts can be ordered at: http://bit.ly/KE0HdV). "Given the current state of American politics," notes Jeff Tweedy, Wilco’s lead singer, "it's easy to see why people become disillusioned and don't participate. But my hope, and my reason for this partnership, is to remind people that they do have a voice, and voting is an effective and undeniable way to be heard.

  • Emi/Emc Analysis of Electronic Systems Subject to Near Zone Illuminations
EMI/EMC ANALYSIS OF ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS SUBJECT TO NEAR ZONE ILLUMINATIONS DISSERTATION Presented in Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree Doctor of Philosophy in the Graduate School of The Ohio State University By Zulfiqar A. Khan, M.S., B.S. ***** The Ohio State University 2007 Dissertation Committee: Approved by Professor John L. Volakis, Adviser Professor Prabhakar H. Pathak Adviser Dr. Chi-Chih Chen Graduate Program in Electrical and Computer Engineering c Copyright by Zulfiqar A. Khan 2007 ABSTRACT There is an increasing interest to evaluate performance of electronic systems sub- ject to electromagnetic interference (EMI). To this end, an efficient technique for system level EMI/EMC analysis of electronic systems was recently proposed. This scheme, referred to as the hybrid S-matrix method, is based on introducing an ad- ditional port on the printed circuit board (PCB) and cable network to represent the plane wave excitation. The scattering matrix for the network (with the added port) is generated once the transmission line (TL) modes are extracted from the induced voltages. The resulting hybrid S-matrix allows for complete characterization of a mi- crowave network in presence of enclosures or other scatterers. It can then be ported into a circuit solver for complex EMI/EMC analysis of electronic devices. This dis- sertation extends the hybrid S-matrix approach to near zone sources. A key aspect of this generalization is the use of the FFT rather than the GPOF to identify the TL modes in presence of the continuous spectrum of forced modes introduced by the near zone sources. Examples are shown to validate the generalized hybrid S-matrix method.

Over the past few decades Louisville, Kentucky, has quietly constructed one of the strongest music scenes in the country. Check out a few of the city’s most popular acts as well as a couple of newcomers. My Morning Jacket My Morning Jacket are perhaps the biggest band from Louisville, Kentucky, in the past decade—and the only band we know of that can unite jam band fanatics, indie rock purists, and classic rock enthusiasts alike. While all of the band’s albums are stellar, we recommend checking out their breakthrough 2003 album It Still Moves, which features “One Big Holiday,” a song that can be considered the “Free Bird” for the iTunes generation. In fact, My Morning Jacket’s guitarists Jim James and Carl Broemel both guest star on VHS Or Beta’s latest album Bring On the Comments. That’s not to say that the bands sound the same—VHS Or Beta’s dance-influenced rock jams are more at home in a trance club setting than the Burning Man festival—but both acts have successfully elbowed aside any genre restrictions and helped to unite seemingly disparate scenes with their music.
