Patrick Moxey is not just a ; he’s a man behind a movement.

The President and founder of Ultra Records, , and Ultra International Music Publishing, Patrick Moxey, is by all accounts a visionary pioneer who has pushed past barriers to bring hip hop and into the mainstream heart of America, where it squarely sits in 2016. Executive Producer of 3 GRAMMY Award winning records and responsible for worldwide multi-platinum hit records such as "Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix)" by Omi, "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" by Pitbull and more; Moxey is now focused primarily on the electronic dance music scene, which is topping the pop charts. But without Moxey and Ultra Music, the sound that has captured young U.S. music fans’ hearts, minds and wallets might never have happened.

Patrick Moxey, London-born but raised in America, always had a worldly outlook, attending high school in Berlin, he first put his European musical sensibility to work in college at the University of Chicago in the 1980's where he became Program Director for the school's station WHPK. The mid 1980s in Chicago only whet Moxey’s appetite for something bigger outside of the windy city, New York was calling. As Patrick moved to New York he transitioned to party and eventual club owner, throwing a series of roving parties that would land Moxey widespread acclaim, with some of the biggest names in music and pop culture passing through including the , De La Soul, JFK Jr., Daryl Hannah and more. One such person who did walk through the door was Russell Simmons who gave Moxey his first proper music industry job at Def Jam Records. Under the tutelage of Russell Simmons, Moxey learned the ins and outs of the record label and management facets of the music industry. After Def Jam, Moxey went on to manage legendary hip- hop acts such as Gang Starr, as well as dance artists like Little “Louie” Vega and under his company Empire Artists Management. Shortly after Patrick received a call from Pete Tong encouraging him to start his own label under Polygram and thus Payday Records was born where Moxey would go on to sign one of the biggest up-and-coming acts of the time, Jay-Z. From there, Moxey went on to Virgin, serving as the Senior VP of A&R for EMI’s America, while at Virgin he signed successful acts such as N.E.R.D, Kelis and Beenie Man. But Patrick Moxey’s heart was always in dance music, which in 1996 led him to start his own independent label Ultra Records. In 2013, Ultra Music created a unique strategic alliance with . Tracks on Sony Music’s dance music catalogues will be available to include on Ultra’s successful compilation series to help further Sony’s position in the Electronic Dance music market as well as Ultra’s position in the global scene. A new role was established in Sony Music specifically for Moxey himself – President of for Sony Music Entertainment Worldwide.

Today, Ultra Records, based in New York, boasts a worldwide team in offices located in London, Zurich & Toronto. However, the label started out small and was always (and remains) obsessed with quality dance music before it was considered "cool" in cities and the suburbs alike. Ultra Record's current roster includes: , , Above & Beyond, , , Black Coffee, Loco Dice, MK, , , Omi, filous, , , Louis The Child, Bearson, , Mr. Probz, Netsky, Chris Malinchak, , Mako and many more.
