The Outdoor Championships Date Back to 1953 While the Indoor Championships First Began in 1979 with the U18 Age Group PAST CHAMPIONS / CHAMPIONS PRÉCÉDENTS The outdoor championships date back to 1953 while the indoor championships first began in 1979 with the U18 age group. It expanded to U14 in 1985 and U16 in 1988. From 1995 to 1999, the U18 category was replaced with two international U18 events. The U12 category began in 2006 for both the outdoor and indoor events. Les championnats à l’extérieur remontent à 1953 alors que les championnats en salle ont commencé en 1979 avec le groupe d'âge U18. Les U14 ont été ajoutés en 1985 et les U16 en 1988.
