September 2017 gegen Rumänien um den Verbleib in der Europa/Afrika-Zone 1 an. Auf der Anlage des UTC Wels wird im Freien auf Sand gespielt, die Tribünen bieten Platz für 5.000 Zuschauer. Wels ist ein guter Boden für die Tennis-Nationalmannschaft: 1999 und 2001 gab es jeweils 4:1-Siege gegen Portugal bzw. die Ukraine.
