Mr Daniel Richard Gwizdek

I refer to your recently agreed mortgage facility and the fact that interest payments on the mortgage you have requested from the Bank could be subject to UK withholding tax because the interest will potentially be paid from a UK source.

The Bank is unable to provide tax advice and I recommend that you seek your own tax advice regarding UK withholding tax from your tax advisor.

If the advice you receive is that withholding tax apply, we can arrange to approach HM Revenue & Customs and seek their agreement that you need not withhold this tax by virtue of a double tax agreement that exists between the UK and /.

I would be obliged if you could therefore complete and sign the enclosed form to inform me of whether you wish the Bank to apply for withholding tax relief or not.

I have also enclosed for your information a copy of HM Revenue & Customs’ withholding tax relief form, which the Bank requires to submit should you decide that withholding tax should be deducted on your interest payments.

I thank you for your assistance in this matter and look forward receiving the completed form in due course.

Yours sincerely

Andy Fleming Relationship Manager
