The purpose of developing this inventory is to create a database of historical materials for current and future research. Such an inventory does not currently exist and is being developed in conjunction with the centennial of the Federal Reserve System in 2013‐14. This inventory identifies materials that are currently available from a variety of sources, including the Board of Governors and Reserve Bank websites, the Federal Reserve Archival System for Economic Research (http://fraser.stlouisfed.org/about), university websites and collections, and other private collections. It also includes information about material that is not yet available online that will be considered for digitization and posting. The inventory will serve as a resource for researchers, academics, and others interested in studying the history of the nation’s central bank. The primary historical records of the Federal Reserve System are held by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), and the Federal Reserve Banks. Other public and private institutions, such as the Library of Congress, academic institutions, and regional and local historical societies, also hold a variety of historical materials related to the Federal Reserve System and to its leaders. The Federal Reserve System is asking historians, scholars, and other members of the public to identify and submit additional sources of Federal Reserve history. This version of the inventory is not complete at this time, but will be regularly updated and republished on Federal Reserve websites. Inclusion of new contributions in the inventory is dependent upon volume, prioritization, and the digitization process. To submit additional historical records, visit http://www.federalreserve.gov/apps/contactus/feedback.aspx. 3 District 1: Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Collections Collection/Records Series Annual Report of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Dates 1914‐current Significance Record Holder/Location Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Research Library and FRASER Digitized Partial: FRASER: 1919‐1935, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston: 1989‐current URL Federal Reserve Bank of Boston: http://www.bostonfed.org/about/ar/back‐issues‐ar.htm FRASER: http://fraser.stlouisfed.org/publication/?pid=465&tid=43&utm_source=collpr Collection/Records Series Communities and Banking Dates 1991‐current Significance Quarterly publication for lenders and community development practitioners Record Holder/Location Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Research Library Digitized Yes URL http://www.bostonfed.org/commdev/c&b/c&bback.htm#1991 Collection/Records Series Farm Finance Dates 1946‐1963 Significance Research periodical on financial aspects of the New England farming industry Record Holder/Location Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Research Library Digitized No Collection/Records Series Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Monthly Review Dates 1920‐1955 Significance Monthly publication on the financial situation in the First District Record Holder/Location Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Research Library Digitized No Collection/Records Series Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Special Report Dates 1995 Significance Special report for 1995 Record Holder/Location Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Research Digitized No Collection/Records Series Gross State Product: New England Dates 1955‐1982 Significance Publication provides an overview of the GSP for New England Record Holder/Location Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Research Digitized No Collection/Records Series New England Banking Trends Dates 1993‐2000 Significance Publication covering banking trends in the First District Record Holder/Location Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Research Library Digitized No 4 Collection/Records Series New England Business Review Dates 1956‐1968 Significance Research publication on New England's industry and economy Record Holder/Location Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Research Library Digitized No Collection/Records Series New England Economic Indicators Dates 1969‐current Significance Quarterly publication that provides current and historical data on the New England economy, both regionally and for each of the six states Record Holder/Location Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Research Library Digitized Partial: 2003‐2011 URL http://www.bostonfed.org/economic/neei/neeiback.htm Collection/Records Series New England Economic Review Dates 1969‐2004 Significance Research publication on New England's industry and economy (renamed from New England Business Review) Record Holder/Location Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Research Library Digitized Partial: 1990‐2004 URL http://www.bostonfed.org/economic/neer/neerback.htm Collection/Records Series New England Public Policy Center Research Reports Dates 2005‐current Significance Research reports from NEPPC on public policy issues in New England Record Holder/Location Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Research Library Digitized Yes URL http://www.bostonfed.org/economic/neppc/researchreports/index.htm Collection/Records Series Regional Review Dates 1991‐2005 Significance Quarterly magazine that covered regional economic issues Record Holder/Location Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Research Library Digitized Partial: 1996‐2005 URL http://www.bostonfed.org/economic/nerr/nerrback.htm Collection/Records Series Report to Stockholders Dates 1921‐1947 Significance Federal Reserve Bank of Boston's annual reports to stockholders Record Holder/Location Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Research Digitized No 5 Collection/Records Series Research Conference Series Dates 1969‐current Significance Official publications from the Research Department's economic conferences Record Holder/Location Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Research Library Digitized Yes URL http://www.bostonfed.org/economic/conf/index.htm Collection/Records Series Research Report Projections Dates 1970 Significance Record Holder/Location Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Research Digitized No Collection/Records Series Research Reports Dates 1958‐1999 Significance Reports from the Research Department Record Holder/Location Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Research Digitized No Collection/Records Series Research Review Dates 2004‐current Significance Publication summarizing recent research by Federal Reserve Bank of Boston economists Record Holder/Location Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Research Library Digitized Yes URL http://www.bostonfed.org/economic/nerr/nerrback.htm Collection/Records Series
