14th Aug (Day 1) Arrival in Delhi...... Morning or evening arrival check inn to Hotel. Then sightseeing around Delhi (if there is enough time).....

15th Aug (Day 2) Fly Delhi to , whole day rest for acclimatisation.

16th Aug (Day 3) Drive to Temple .Hot lunch at hotel and back to Leh Via Pathar Sahib and Sangam (confluence of River Indus and River) .

Alchi Temple: - There are many temples and built in Ladakh by Translator, Alchi Choskor is the largest and famous of all of them. Built in 11th century, all the 32 workers who built it were Hindu; all woodcraft n paintings are made in Hindu style. Phattarsahib :- Is a Sikh Gurudwara in Ladakh .... Sikh people believe that many decades ago 1st Guru of Sikh Guru Nanak Dave G visited this place, still today one can see the body print of Guru G on a big rock which was use by the devil to kill him.

17th Aug (Day 4) Drive East of Ladakh ( , Thiksay and Palace ) and back to Leh.

Hemis Monastery: - Hemis is situated 48 km from the Leh on the opposite of the Singge Tsangpo (River Indus). It is the largest and most famous of all the monasteries in Ladakh and was founded in 1630 by the 1st Staktsang Raspa, a great yogi of theDrukpa Lineage, under the patronage of King Sengge Namgyal. Hemis has more than 200 branches in the and more than 1,000 monks under its care.

Thiksay Monastery: - It was founded in 1430 by Jangshem Sherab Sangpo and is the principal monastery of the Gelugpa Tibetan Buddhist tradition in Ladakh. At the summit of the hill is the private residence of Kushok Nawang Chamba Stanzin, the head Lama of the monastery. Below extend twelve levels of buildings, including ten temples, chapels and monks accommodation.

Stok Palace: - Stok lies 14 km of the Leh on the opposite side of the Singge Tsangspo River. The castle was built on the hill at the end of the village in about the year 1825 by the King Tsespal Tondup Namgyal, not after it was built Ladakh was lost to the Dogras. From then on the successive King of Ladakh resided in this castle. Inside are preserved shrines, the crown, ceremonial dress and of the kings of Ladakh.

18th Aug (Day 5) Drive to Valley North of Ladakh via Highest motor able road Khardong La (18380 ft )( Samstanling monastery ) during evening and cultural program , night at Yarab tso Hotel .

Samstanling Monastery: - The monastery of Samstanling is situated in a village called Sumur in the district of Nubra. It was founded by Lama Tsultim Nima. More than 40 monks reside in the monastery. Since all the monks place particular emphasis on the observance of the Vinaya precept they do not practice to any great extent the coercive rituals such as those of secret dance and the hurling of votive offerings.

19th Aug (Day 6) Visit and Hunder monastery and Sand dunes of Hunder .After that drive back to Hotel for a night.

Diskit Monastery: - Is situated in the district of Nubra. It was founded in about the year 1420 by Shesrab Zangpo of Stod during the lifetime of the dharmaraja Graspa. It is reckoned as one of the branches of Thiksay Monastery. About 100 of monks reside there. The successive reincarnation of Skyabsje Khanpo Rinpoche acts as the incumbents.

Hunder monastery and Sand dunes: - Hunder have a big area covered with sand known as Sand dunes with double Hump Camel and a old Palace to visit.

20th Aug (Day 7)

Drive back to Leh and Leisure day / day for marketing Souvenir. Complementary Cultural Show at Hotel in

the evening.

21st Aug (Day 8) Drive to visit the new dog care centre where all the stray dogs are being taken care of and visit to Conservation centre at Changspa Leh .Back for lunch at Hotel. After the lunch, drive to see the Donkey Sanctuary and Shanti for Sunset view.

Shanti Stupa: - Shanti word means Peace in . It was built by Japanese on a hill top and inaugurated by H.H the Dalai Lama in 1985. It has a perfect view point of Leh city.

22nd Aug (Day 9) Drive East of Ladakh (Changthang .... Tsomoriri Lake). Overnight at Camp.

Tsomoriri Lake: -

Tsomoriri Lake is one of the most beautiful and natural lake in Ladakh which lies in the region of “Changthang” east of Ladakh. Lake has a source of fresh water coming from the mountains. Lake is in front of Korzok village and monastery which was built in 1630. During winter whole freezes, so the nomads walk on frozen lake to go to other side. Tsomoriri (Changthang) also known as the land of nomads. Tsomoriri is a home for more than 3000 migratory Birds and 250 species of them like Brown Headed Gulls, Horned Lark, Red-billed Chough, species of Wagtails, Tibetan Snow finch, Crag martin etc

23rd Aug (Day 10) Morning after Breakfast, before leaving for Tsokar Lake, there will be a visit to the Nomadic camps to witness the Nomads with their animal (Seeps, Goats and yaks) and to watch them milking Goats, which is the most spectacular thing to see (the way they do it is very amazing). After seeing the Nomads, drive to Tsokar Lake (Salt Lake) on way visit nomad tent. Overnight at camp

Nomads: - Tsomoriri is the best place to see the nomadic life of nomads with their family and one can also visit inside their tent....

Tsokar Lake: - Its salt water lake beside small village .It used to be the place from where earlier nomads came to collect salt. Even today one can see salt on the edges of the lake. At this place, one can see national bird of Ladakh (Black neck Crain) and some other wild life..... On a way to Tsokar, you can see the group of wild asses (Skyang) running around the empty plains of the region.

24th Aug (Day 11) Drive to Kalong, entering Himachal Pradesh. Overnight at hotel..

Kalong: - In the fertile Bhaga valley, Kalong, the capital of the region of Lahaul and Spiti, is a reasonable place to break the journey from Leh to Manali. Most of the population in kalong are Buddhist.

25th Aug (Day 12) Drive to Manali via Rohtang pass(3978m), evening visit ( Dungri Temple )

Rohtang Pass: - It takes its name from the Tibetan for Pile of Corpses. The pass is a popular Chai (Tea) stop for travellers and offers wonderful views over the Sonapani Glacier, plus the first taste of the Himachal Snows. Overnight at Hotel

Manali:-The Popular resort of the Manali is the last major settlement in the Kullu valley. When it was first discovered by travellers in 1960s Manali was something of a mountain Shangri-la. During 70s and 80s, Manali picked up a reputation as a kind of Amsterdam of Himalaya.

Dhungri Tempel :- The Dhungri or Hadimba Temple is a four story wooden building in the middle of a lovely forested park known as Dhungri Van-vihar. It was built in 1553 dedicating to the Goddess Hadinba and it features the wooden carvings of dancer’s horns of bulls and other animals. Every may there is a festival of the temple when sacrifices are carried out in honour of Hadimba the Goddess.

26th Aug (Day 13):- Drive to Delhi. Overnight at Hotel

27th Aug (Day 14);- Fly Back Home
