The Green Stanningfield | Suffolk Seller Insight The Green Stanningfield | Suffolk Seller Insight The property was purchased after the children went to University and we“ immediately fell under the "spell" of The Thatched Cottage with its gorgeous features and just knew we would be able to make it our home. The sitting room is our favourite room which has seen many happy times around the fireplace. The garden has been our pride and joy. It has been loved and nurtured, having designed the planting. We tried to create a garden that is a joy to look at from the conservatory, so it can be enjoyed all year round. The village itself is lovely, with a popular pub, a lovely Norman Church, various clubs, and great opportunities for dog walking. It sits in beautiful countryside, close to Lavenham, Long Melford and Bury St Edmunds. * These comments are the personal views of the current owner and are included as an insight into life at the property. They have not been independently verified, should not be relied on without verification and do not necessarily reflect the views of the agent. Step Inside Stepping into the property via the front door you will see a brick feature wall. The immense character is apparent from the off and is a feast for the eyes! Turn to the right and this will lead to the sitting room with a log burning stove set in the beautiful inglenook fireplace. It is a quiet, peaceful room, definitely a place to unwind after a busy day. There is the first staircase of two leading to the first floor. There is a storage cupboard underneath. Heading back past the front door you will find yourself in the splendid dining room again with an attractive inglenook fireplace. It is a fantastic room to get the whole family together to make happy memories. The second staircase is in here again with a storage cupboard. There is a conservatory leading from here with wonderful views over the garden. The kitchen is at the rear of the property and features an original bread/faggot oven. There is a shelved lobby area which has space to house a tall fridge/freezer. The final room downstairs is a modern shower room that was newly installed three years ago. Upstairs are two double bedrooms plus a single bedroom. There are lovely exposed beams, dormer windows and feature chimney breast. These rooms are delightful. Step Outside There is a gated driveway to the front of the cottage which provides off road parking for multiple vehicles. The lovely gardens wrap around the property. Beds and borders have been generously planted with shrubs, perennials and spring bulbs. The property also boasts a large outbuilding which is waiting for someone to convert it into an additional room such as an office, cinema or gym. The roof was completely re-thatched in 2006. Location Stanningfield is an English village in the parish of Bradfield Combust with Stanningfield, in the St Edmundsbury district of the county of Suffolk. The village lies just off of the A134 road, about 5 miles (8 km) south-east of Bury St Edmunds, 5 miles (8 km) north-west of Lavenham, and 10 miles (16 km) north of Sudbury. %epcGraph_c_1_243% Agents notes: All measurements are approximate and for general guidance only and whilst every attempt has been made to ensure accuracy, they must not be relied on. At its heart is the Heritage at Risk Register, an online database containing details of each site known to be at risk. It is analysed and updated annually and this leaflet summarises the results. Over the past year we have focused much of our effort on assessing listed Places of Worship, and visiting those considered to be in poor or very bad condition as a result of local reports.
