ALL ATTENDING THE SALE MUST READ

ALL VENDORS 1. All entries are sold under the L.A.A. conditions of sale, a copy of which is displayed in the main office. 2. All entries must be the bona fide property of the vendor, identified by ear tag or tattoo and correspond accordingly with the entry catalogued 3. Vendors or authorised representatives must be in the sale ring at the time their animals are offered for sale. 4. Rare and minority breeds will be sold in guineas (105 pence) and commission of 5% will be charged. Minimum commission – sheep £1.30 per head, cattle £10 per beast. 5. All stock will be numbered on arrival and sold in catalogue order. Entries will be balloted prior to compilation of the catalogue and sale order of breeds within each species will rotate on an annual basis. 6. All livestock must be on the Auction Mart premises no later than 9.00am. The mart will be open from 7.00am on Saturday 12th September. 7. PEDIGREE & GENOTYPE CERTIFICATES – at this sale the Office takes no responsibility for these. It is the vendors responsibility to ensure they are passed to the correct purchaser.

SHEEP VENDORS 8. M.V. Accredited sheep will only be allowed into the accredited section if accompanied by a current green SAC certificate of status. All sheep/goats must be accompanied by a DEFRA AML1 FORM.

CATTLE VENDORS 9. All cattle including calves must be accompanied with the relevant cattle movement document (CCM movement form) duly completed and signed, which must be handed over to the auctioneers or stewards on arrival. All cattle must be accompanied by the relevant CTS or Passport. Cattle arriving without appropriate documentation will not be allowed onto the market premises. 10. Cattle born after 1st January 1998 must be tagged in accordance with current GOVERNMENT regulations regarding primary and secondary ear tags.

Purchasers All livestock must be removed on the day on sale

When collecting your invoice you must have a holding number and address details for the destination of the sheep you have purchased

COVID 19 REGULATIONS From 8th August 2020 Please note the following change from the above date:

FACE COVERINGS – As from 8th August the wearing of face coverings is MANDATORY in enclosed public spaces including Auction Houses. Wearing a face covering is mandatory at ALL our sales for ALL customers. Please bring one with you.

VENDORS – Vendors may unload their trailers and stay to represent their stock being sold. Arrive on site and put paper work in the box on the docks then move your vehicle and wash out. Stay at your pen and sort stock or go to café until sale time. You can come to the sale ring side to represent stock during sale. All luck money must be stated on the Vendor Forms and is deducted at the rostrum. You may collect cheques/bacs statements from the office one person at a time. All VENDORS MUST SOCIALLY DISTANCE AT ALL TIMES. WE ASK THAT VENDORS MUST NOT APPROCH BUYERS AT THE RINGSIDE.

DROP & GO – This system is still in place for anyone not comfortable with attending the mart. Please ensure stock comes with correctly completed paperwork.

BUYERS – Must ring to register to attend all sales. Arrive at mart and book in at the security table on the main concourse. There is always a viewing period for buyers to go round the pens before sale. Buyers can enter the office one person at a time. All BUYERS MUST SOCIALLY DISTANCE AT ALL TIMES.

CAFE – The Café is open to all customers.

ALL CUSTOMERS – we need to be aware that there is a very real risk that a positive case of Covid 19 identified through Trace and Track to a premises could result in the closure of those premises for 14 days. PLEASE do not attend the mart if you are showing any symptoms. NO VISTORS ARE PERMITTED TO THE MART – ACTIVE CUSTOMERS ONLY AT THE MOMENT.
