Pavlova aSchmidt Institute of Physics of the Earth, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, 123242 Russia *e-mail: [email protected] Received December 29, 2017; revised May 23, 2018; accepted May 28, 2018 Abstract—Paleomagnetic results from numerous Early–Middle Devonian volcanic sequences of the Minusa trough, southern Siberia, are presented. The analysis of these data definitely indicates that the geomagnetic field in the Devonian had a specific character, different from both the present field and the field of more ancient geological epochs, and was extremely variable (hyperactive). The anomalies in the paleomagnetic record of the Early–Middle Devonian are not local, peculiar to a particular region, but have a global occurrence. The synthesis of the obtained results with the paleomagnetic data from the coeval volcanics from Scotland shows that during a relatively short time (10–20 Ma), the geomagnetic pole repeatedly changed its location, significantly deviating from the Earth’s rotation axis up to the (paleo)equator and assuming some quasi-stable positions. The arguments suggesting that the specific features of the Devonian paleomagnetic record could probably be induced by the significant contribution -

The authors of this work focused on the impact of anthropogenic factors on river runoff. Many rivers of Siberian taiga drain areas have experienced a dramatic land-cover change, with a decrease in overall forest area and a relative increase in deciduous trees. Land cover change in forest catchments impact water balance and accordingly, river flow. The study areas, the West Sayan and Northern Angara regions located in Central Siberia, are now a mosaic of forest regeneration sites including both post-human and post-fire regeneration patterns. Data of our own hydrological experiments conducted on clear cuts of different ages and reference materials for regular hydrological observations were analyzed. Dynamics of river flow under influence of timber harvesting were studied for 11 river basins in different landscape zones of Siberia. The studies showed that, in Siberia, forest cover changes lead to either reduction of, or increase in water yield depending on forest structure and climate. -

Marks st., Abakan, 655017 Khakassia 1 Received 27.11.2008, received in revised form 17.12.2008, accepted 24.12.2008 In the article there is a problem of the ethno-demographical conditions in the Khakass-Minusinsk region that influence the functioning of the Russian Orthodox Church. The use of the sources of the church demographical registration - confession information and the clergy register – allowed to define the demographical characteristics of the population, the ethnic correlation and the social structure more exactly. The parishes were the contact zones of the interethnic, civilizational, intercultural interaction of the people inhabited the Khakass-Minusinsk region. Keywords: the Khakass people, population, parishes, old residents, ethnic contacts. Zlotnikb aSiberian Federal University, Krasnoyarsk, 660041 Russia bFederal State Budgetary Institution “Yeniseyrybvod,” Krasnoyarsk, 660093 Russia *e-mail: [email protected] Received December 25, 2014 Abstract—This paper presents the information on the history of appearance, modern composition, and dis- tribution of fish species that have been introduced by man or have settled independently in the water bodies of the Krasnoyarsk Territory since the early 20th century. It is shown that the fish fauna composition has expanded mainly in the basin of the upper and middle Yenisei as well as in the basin of the Chulym that is a right tributary of the Ob; the fish fauna of the Pyasina and Khatanga rivers that are beyond the Arctic Circle has remained unchanged. Eleven fish species and two subspecies are new for the region; among them, com- mon bream and sunbleak have largely expanded their range in the Yenisei and Chulym basins; pike perch, Amur sleeper, and bleak have enlarged their range only in the Chulym basin. The spread of other species is limited by the regions of their artificial stocking. Peled that is common for the northern regions of the territory was resettled in the Krasnoyarsk Reservoir; the status of Prussian carp that was introduced from the Amur River and degree of its assimilation with the local populations of this species are not clear.
