Concert series among popular Mayberry attractions

By John Peters [email protected]

Mount Airy is well-known as the Mecca for all things Mayberry. Come to the town during the tourist season and there’s a decent chance a visitor will find someone walking around town dressed as their favorite “” character, or at least carrying some sort of Mayberry memorabilia purchased in a local shop. If not? Well, there’s still plenty of May- berry to be seen and experienced: Shops and shows built around the fictional town of Sheriff Andy Taylor, not to mention the Andy Griffith Museum devoted to the show and the life of its lead character.
